You should get numbers. It's an app like excel on Microsoft, you can make spreadsheets and graphs, overall it's a very useful app. I have used it, along with pages, for all my school projects since I've owned it.

The iPhone is great when you are walking around and need to check something out, but if you are doing some proper browsing, reading magazines / comics / books, playing games, playing with music apps etc etc, my iPad totally destroys my iPhone 4. I use a laptop if I need to do real work, but when I'm just chilling out and sitting back, the iPad gets the most use by far these days.
