Aftershock at Silverwood

When Silverwood recieved the coaster from SFGAm, Vekoma sent a crew out to add improvements to increase reliability. The maintenance crew at the park is also second to none. They paid 2 million, and I believe put in about another 4 million worth of improvements to keep it running as long as it does.

I don't know what Silverwood did but this ride has little down time when it was at SFGAm it was down all the time.

@CottonMickey Theres i believe four De Ja Vu rollercoasters. Aftershock is one of them. I believe its the one from Six Flags Great America.

i lived in idaho my whole life been on the after shock probably more than anyone can count. it is way awesome no one can be mad that idaho has it. and no it is not scary it is friggin kick ass. the best part is wen it takes you up backwards then it just drops.

@Troublemaker454 I haven't ridden in before (hoping to in August), but my father's co-worker said that it scared the crap out of him, so.. I suppose so; especially if it's your first time. All of my friends have said it was a massive rush, too! :)

@Troublemaker454 Depends on how much you can handle. The scariest part for me and most people is the climb of the first tower. Because you're laying down 100 feet in the air. They have restraints to hold on to your chest, but it's really scary because it feels like your seatbelt is going to break off and they keep you up there for only 5 seconds but it feels like an HOUR. Awesome ride, if you're young and living, DON'T MISS OUT ON IT. One of the best rides in the World.

Damn........Chicago is PISSED that you guys in Idaho got this..........(LOL) I don't blame them! I think these are friggin awesome.........Did something change to make it operate without breaking down so much? They even kept the same cool colors.......Oh well, there's still Raging Bull, which this can't compare to

Still, since Vekoma has actually worked the bugs out of this coaster, I see no reason why they shouldn't make more, but apparently they are not. It is still on their website though, maybe I'm wrong.

@mark40511 Well the thing is that if they made more Vekoma wouldnt have time to work out ALL of the kinks.

Aftershock isnt perfect anyways. I have been on it when it miscaught and its valleyed before. Im just saying its better then where it came from.
