Torturers do what Murdoch is doing to break people. They deny the victim basic needs like food, privacy or even being allowed to go to the bathroom at will. So they have to ask the torturer. The torturer allways acts very loving and supportive. Saying things like "you can do this, its for your own good. I love you. l'm helping you conquer your limits or addictions, or limitations" The opposing messages will eventually drive a person to despair. Its very common torture practice.

That teacher is crazy. He is never sleeping, and every night he is spending with five starving young vampires. They cannot control theirselves and they are starving and they may loose control and kill him.

If vampires don't hold back than their punished for their actions. :) Plus, this schools for getting these vampires off true blood from humans and not letting them get 'drunk'. Hope that helped!

The experiment is to teach the young vampires how to control themselves and learn how to socialize with others so they can coexist with humans so they don't get hunted, and as shown in an earlier episode, there are high-tech weapons in this show that are designed to kill vampires. The students understand that if they don't learn Murdoch's self-control lessons, they and every other vampire will be vaporized into extinction.

I know so much cause i watch and read a lot of vampire related movies and shows and books and realize that there laws the vampire have to obey. i studied vampirism willingly i find them interesting cause the conspiracy and history just seems so real even though there fictional.(im not obsessed just interested in the unknown)

selene14luv, that makes no sense. All vampire fiction is well..fictional and different. All writers make their own "rules". If you enjoy vampires, then write your own. Thats a better use of your creativity then "learning" what other writers make up. Who knows, maybe you can publish something some day. I agree btw...I think if you have a vampire in proximity to humans, it should feed. Otherwise you are courting disaster.

I think the reason we keep watching this is because of the idieas. The acting isn't THAT bad, and the idea's are rather VERY good. It's just..well..it's canadian. At least it isn't Dawm which is a black and white vampire movie about a kid vampire which has the worst acting ever. I mean thinking about it, it has original and new ideas. The stirrings, blood that's gone bad. Bio morphic predetoy desease (or whatever, haha). The chill. Everything, it's rather cool. That's why we keep watching it.
