hello ! i got my rabbits from you , (george and fred ) previously called count de frou frou and captin darling in april 2009 the tanned mini lops ! , there was a 3rd brother but he went to anouther home which was sad (would of been nice for them to all be together :( just to say they are healthy and happy !! :)
ohh no :( I'm glad he found a new home, but so upsetting. I will be getting a male and female from the same litter in 5 weeks time, I plan to have them spayed/neutered, how do you suggest I do this as I have read they will need to be separated during the healing process? Thanks
Thank you for your very sensible question. Keep them together at all times - take them to the vet in the same carry box. The vet should put them back together immediately after the op. The support they get from each other helps the healing process - if your vet says anything different, go elsewhere. You will be surprised just how quickly they bounce back (the girls take a little longer as its a more invasive operation). You are DEFINITELY doing the right and responsible thing. Well done!
Thank you for letting us know...it's always nice to hear from people who have adopted from us and to hear that they are part of your family!
