  • "Where can I get one, as if I didn't know?"

  • Well uh, just a by accident I think I gotta one right here.

  • "I notice he wins all the time",

"that because he comes in first".

    Classic Marx Brothers.

  • @fhiggins01 if they were alive, they'd be over 120 years old.

  • Those two dislikes must have been by accident.

  • hahah i love this part of the movie

  • C: "One dollar and you'll remember me all your life." G: "That's the most nauseating proposition I ever had!"

There is no comedy more perfect than the Marx Bros.

  • Maybe this is were Craig got his "tutsi fruitsi" cover up when he swears!!! hahahah. I've seen all the Marx Bros movies, but its been quite a long time since I've seen these movies and I forgot all about the tutsi fruisi!!!! Awesome!

  • "Well, just by accident, I got one right here."

  • "What do you mean, delivery charge? I'm standing right next to you."

"Well, for such a short distance, I make it $1."

  • apparently, to get the timing of the dialogue they used to perform in front of a live audience, to see how long the laughs were, so that the jokes weren't rushed into.

  • @PaulDHKerr I believe they mentioned what you just said on the "the unknown marx brothers" dvd. I will have to watch it again.

  • @thomaschavers yeh, it was also one of the reasons harpo never speaks, apparently they got a review for a show which said that everything was brilliant within the performance until harpo spoke, it was something along the lines of that anyway.

  • Good job I bought my legs today...

  • 2 people wished they had put $2 on Sunup.

  • Good stuff!!

  • @arnuga It is a scam.

  • it is to bad they are dead

  • I am a Marxist--I love the Marx Brothers!

  • ive seen all themarx brothers movies they are the best...funny scenes....great delivery....the best ...

  • Not too many modern comedies have the creativity that was in the Marx Brothers comedies and the screwball comedies that were made in the 1930s and 40s.

  • XD XD the worse show I've seen in my life XD

  • I had that same horse when I had my eyes examined

  • ... What is supposed to be so funny about this? Would I have had to been a gambler or spent time at racing tracks to get it?

  • @arnuga I first watched this when I was 13 or so and I loved it, so no. Maybe it's just a specific taste.

  • @arnuga not really...its just obviously a scam...the scam is hilarious...i saw a 5 year old understand this and thought it was hilarious

  • A work of art!.

  • Seems familiar to all us racing enthusiasts.

  • I love this skit... Great stuff. =D

  • This might be the best interplay between Groucho and Chico out of all their films. "Hey, ice cream... Tutsi fruitsi!" BTW, where is your code book? ;)

  • Love the way Groucho walks :D

  • hey boss you wanna tip...this is one of the best scripted sketches I have ever seen.brilliant!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Groucho never gave Chico much credit for his comic acting skills, but I think he's brilliant in this scene. I've always loved Chico!

(By the way, it's pronounced "Chicko" not "Cheeko").

  • sooo much wit such genius

  • I ain't gotta no change; I'll have to give you nine more books.

  • Underrated Marx Brothers movies. Many great scenes and elements of their comedy.

  • Sounds like an MS os 2me! :)

  • You don't have any bookcases, do you?

  • "Hey, you know, all I wanted was a horse, not a public library."

  • "A lot of quick accidents around here for a quiet neighborhood."

  • Fu-king SOLID GOLD.

  • cost me a fiver to get it cleaned. lololololol

  • Brilliant!

  • I LOVE THIS! haha

  • This is fantastically funny! :)

  • My faves are this one and Duck Soup. Groucho`s treatment of the hapless, clueless Margaret Dumont is an absolute bigtime Hoot.

From what I have read she was really oblivious to what was going on.With Groucho`s machine gun delivery it must have been doubly hard for the "Grande Dame" to make sense of the shenanigans. Comedy written over 80 yrs ago has to show its age but the boys are forever funny!

  • The play-on-words pun type material i.e the word . viaduct comes into the conversation to which one of the brothers says something regarding Why a duck? This type of humor is pretty common in their flix.

" A Day at the Races" and "Duck Soup" are my faves and not harmed by these punny stabs at humor, but they are rife throughout these movies.

A Day at the Races and Duck Soup are my faves and I think showing some wear around the ages doesnt hurt at all.

  • Best scene ever! Hilarious!

  • Some of there bits are so dated. This one is eternally funny!

  • I'm not necesarily disagreeing, but which bits are dated?

  • I feel like Groucho in this scene whenever I buy textbooks

  • THE funniest Marx Brothers routine PERIOD!

  • "Where can I get one as though I didn't know?" Funniest Marx Brothers scene ever.

  • They're awesome. So classic.

  • I love this part of this movie..I love the Marx Brother's...it's too bad I never knew them in person.

  • groucho's face is priceless.

  • LEGENDARY!!!!!!!!

  • Isnt this such a classic
