Oh yeah, another tip (NOT meant as spam, I just didn't think of this til now). Take the scope off the AK-74 (or any other rifle that has open sights) and use iron sights for close range combat, especially indo0rs. Scopes hinder peripheral vision, so only use them for long range.
Any time. As Eek the Cat says, "It never hurts to help." XD This game is much involving and captivating than most other FPS games. The environment draws me in even moreso than Half-Life 2! However, HL2's vehicles are so much fun that they balance out the fun factors of the two games, but STALKER still have more replay value. The STALKER mod Oblivion Lost has vehicles but they're not as much fun as the ones from HL2.
Whenever you have a scoped AK, set it on semi-auto. Also, if you want to give a friendly NPC a weapon, be sure to take any accessories (scope, sound suppressor, etc.) off of it since you need it more than the NPC anyway.
