Actually Giganotosaurus was slightly larger while Tyrannosaurus was much more highly evolved (faster metabolism and possibly with much more perceptive sencory).
Additionally T-rex had the strongest bite in animal kingdom after Dunklesteus, Archelon and (maybe his "lil brother" Tarbosaurus) while Carnosaurs like Giga and Allo had a relatively weak bite and a hit and run hunting technique (that could bring down even the largest sauropods, T-rex would not propably need that though since giant sauropods were extinct by its era). And last but not least among T-rex fossil there were clear marks of brutal fighting between individuals.

I see that while most of you understand something about dinosaurs, most are totally wrong and do stupid statements.
The biggest theropod is Spinossaurus by far but he could not face giga or rex.
Giganotosaurus while only just a little bigger than T-rex it is a lot heavier, has a better body overall and it's more agile.
T-rex is smarter, stronger jaws and the best head for a fight overall.
I sincerely think it's a draw. If there were 10 fights in 5 Rex would win and in the other 5 Giga would.

I just laugh when people say the t rex would have evolved to become this much bigger more powerful v-rex as seen in king kong. ITS NOT TRUE FFS!. dino's from the jurassic period were much bigger than dino's in the creatous period.
The trex along with all the other dino's of the creatous period could only get smaller. By now, 65 million years later it would probably be a small anphibius creature that we wouldnt notice was once a trex. Mabey it is.

Not necessarily. The Tyrannosaurids actually kept getting bigger really. I mean, Tyrannosaurus evolved from Tarbosaurus, which was smaller. So for all we know, Tyrannosaurids could have kept getting bigger.
I could be wrong, but saying that T-Rex would have gotten smaller is a fact end of is kind of unwise. It's also just as unwise to say the opposite because we'll never know.

sorry but new discoveries put T-REX at 46 feet long and more than 7ton abd giga only have 47 feet long and over 8 ton so if comes to size it does not matter, but in abilities REX have more a bigger braing , better eyes, better nose, better ear, and most powerfull bite force, the reason REX have those small arm is because it head. now when they found the T-REX code name C-rex it was wiht 5 more REXS is gruop,

Perhaps in other regions or times specimens of the same species were bigger. Guess it depends on the environment even in the species, how big special types grow. Compare the tigers nowadays. The sibirian tiger is much bigger as the bengal-tiger for example.

the largest Giganotosaurus was estimated by Phil Currie at 42-44 feet. Then Celeste was discovered. Celeste, the T. rex was 10% bigger than Sue according to Jack Horner, making it 47.2 feet long. Stop using wikipedia and find some real sources.

if you watch the dual between t rex and spinosaurus you'll see that t rex gets a firm bite on him. That would have been the winning blow in real life, one bite from a t rex will end anything. It had like strongest bite (or second strongest) ever seen on earth, giganotosaurus although bigger, would have lost.

Actually Giganotosaurus was slightly larger while Tyrannosaurus was much more highly evolved (faster metabolism and possibly with much more perceptive sencory).

Additionally T-rex had the strongest bite in animal kingdom after Dunklesteus, Archelon and (maybe his "lil brother" Tarbosaurus) while Carnosaurs like Giga and Allo had a relatively weak bite and a hit and run hunting technique (that could bring down even the largest sauropods, T-rex would not propably need that though since giant sauropods were extinct by its era). And last but not least among T-rex fossil there were clear marks of brutal fighting between individuals.
