As for affordable and accessible, there is no need to say them. Because every product should pursue the goal of being affordable and accessible. It is not good to put these common senses to the definition.

Other examples---like flowers, animals, watches, even massage service---can render Scott`s definition of simple, affordable and accessible to questions. My final opinion about disruptive innovation is that it can not be defined by process. We have to see its final result. That is: as long as it disrupted the market finally, it is disruptive innovation. Simple, affordable and accessible maybe the three core elements of disruptive innovation in some industries, but not in other industries.

but I dont define my success as that, cause I am not a student. Back to Scott, A simple easy-operating video game maybe a disruptive innovation. But this does not mean a simple easy-operating TV can make a disruption as well. What about medicines? Can simple, affordable and accessible all together make a disruption to the market? In this case, Effect of the medicine should be the central point of disruptive innovation.

This definition is problamatic.

I think Scott confused the difference between PROCESS and RESULT. He is trying to define the concept by porcess. But unfortunitely, Disruptive innovation can not be defined by process. It is like to define SUCCESS by saying who passed the exam is successful. This is wrong because students may define success as being able to pass the exam, but I dont define my success as that,
