How i managed a double post? i dunno oh well................Oh Yea Setzer great with his Orchestra real nice show... not sure he tours anymore?
Saw him with Dylan.. .. Bob Dylan no need to say more.. got close, 4 rows out, standing, and a 5 yard buffer zone in front of stage,,, Brian rocked! Dylan was second act. Memories all good
The guy in beginning was THE WOLFMAN! Wolfman Jack... jack! met him once, dinning at Monty Trainers Bayshore Raw Bar Restaurant and Marina in COCONUT GROVE. OH YEA! ... I was the clam oyster shucker and wine server inside that night. Monty Trainer's one cool place back in the 70's and That was WOLFMAN JACK
if mentioned brian setzer to anyone in my class at college they'd all look at me like wtf, if i mention rockabilly? they'd look at me and ask if that was some kind of drink or disease, ah, dnt u just love the times we live in, where rap, mc and r&b rule the charts, i mean seriously Justin bieber? Miley cyrus? waaaaat
It's the mark of a truly timeless song that it can be played 50 years later, with practically no modification, and still sound like it was written yesterday.
You don´t have a clue who he is. Have you not seen the movie or heard the record from the greatest cult movie ever. He is Wolfman Jack from American Grafitti. R.I.P Wolfman. And he had that voice.
@temporaryguy The "guy" in the beginning is Robert Weston Smith, better known as Wolfman Jack. Of course those of us who have been alive since the beginnings of Rock know that the Wolfman was the most iconic DJ in Rock history aside from Alan Freed, while ignorant nimrods like you show just how ignorant you really are when it comes to Rock & Roll.
TBH Brian Setzer can write and play circles around most of the original rockabilly crew, although of course you have to giv ethem massive points for originality.
God, just listen to that crunch he gets out of that Gretsch. What a showman. Easily one of the most underrated guitarists of all time. Eddie Cochran would be proud.

Is it just me or is he playing this in a different key?
It looks like he's playing C, G, and D when the original song used E, A, and B.
NeilFraudstrong 2 years ago 3
Thanks man! I've been trying to figure out what key it looked like he was playing in for a while!
