Oh yeah Steve, like that one guy said you should use Front Row. It isn't on the dock out the box, so just go to spotlight and search "Front Row." You can access everything from from front row, and the interface does look pretty awesome if all you're trying to do is play media at the moment. The icon is a red chair, check it out I think it would be easier on your eyes at night.

(pictures, videos, music, podcast) without having to touch it while driving. and it has a black interface, so it looks really slick, and doesn't kill your eyes at night.

i have a theory as long the mac mini has a usb port on it u could get an interface i come from the audio world so im just going to use a digidesgin MBOX for an example as long as the interface has rca output on it and your head unit has a RCA input on it you should be able to get the audio from the computer and out of your system just change your core audio in your computer settings to be the mbox on output
