If I am at a first class restaurant and a damn fool magician approaches my table, I will have the management send the bum back into the kitchen where he belongs.
I am paying good money to enjoy good people and good food...not some clown trickster.
Well that's because you don't know the first thing about performance art nor will you ever find yourself in a "first class" restaurant. I have been performing in fine dining for over 10 years and much like the cuisine you are putting into your stomach, the entertainement too takes years to master and perfect. These "clown tricksters" can make in 1 month what most people make in 6. You see, unlike yourself, people that frequent fine dining realize good talent when they see it. And he's the best!
When he will predict how much money someone has on him, isn't that mentalism?
About the goldfish production: he teaches the whole trick and even gives additions to it and the precise names of the attributes you need.
The whole performance section is with his voice. The explanations aren't but he is the best silent teacher for many many people, his face says everything.
There IS mentalism. He DOES teach the production, and you don't NEED him saying "put the paper in your other hand" unless you're blind. The performance section has live performances with him so if you want voice that badly just watch the performances. The explanations are easy to follow. As for the Goldfish, just watching Volume 1 gave me enough insight to know how he did that. It's basically ATM but instead of turning napkins to money, he turns paper to goldfish. David Stone ROCKS!

Yes he uses a gimmick that you can buy from ANY magic store for about like $2.00. Don't just think he just shows you it and moves on, his routine is what he shows you. Trust me. GET THESE DVD'S. I have about 70 or 80 magic DVDs and this these two DVDs are one of the top, if not THE top DVDs I own (and I truly mean that). PLEASE get them.
sort of. There is a more coin magic, which is inherintly more difficult than card magic. You have to be able to drop four coin from classic palm one at a time which takes practice but its not hard when you've practiced enough. But just like the first there is some really ingenious material and invaluable information about proffesional close-up. I would say definately get it. I used to perform "reset" one way but I adopted his handleing becuase it's so clean and fool proof.
