I don't see the issue here. The dog is ignoring all distractions, is very focused on his owner/trainer, and is doing advanced training. It's likely the dog has excellent recall. The gun looks to be a prop, and two cars in the whole video is not a "busy" road.
@BearSwipes The issue here is that starwarssuck is using this example as a reason to condemn ALL examples of positive based training and trainers. Although this dog is highly trained and may be a service dog for all we know and service dogs sometimes HAVE to be able to work off leash due to their owner's health issues.
Point- Anyone "training" their dog in the road should not own one because they are a hazard tho themselves and the dog, not to mention other dogs in the area.
Question- Why does the guy have a gun on his back? What is the point of that? Does he plan on using it when the dog runs away chasing a car? Since when do guns and dog training ever mix?
Put the dog in a hazardous situation under the guise of "training?"
Training a dog unleashed on the side of a busy road is arrogant and disrespectful to the dog. I could NEVER respect a trainer who so blithely puts his dog in danger. You may have a leash attached for "safety," but you are fooling yourself if you think you can get to that leash in time if that dog bolts. You are also violating the leash laws of your community.
A Hypocrite is the kind of politician (Wannabe trainer) who would cut down a redwood tree (Put the safety of his dog in Jeopardy), then mount the (Bandwawon of the "pure positive" Fundamentalists) stump and make a Speech (of Self-righteousness) for conservation. (for dog welfare)

Rampant hypocrisy at play.
