  • How can people claim that James Randi, or the skeptic society disproves anything at all? Sometimes I wish that skeptics would apply their skepticism to more equally. James Randi is just a man who may or may not have an agenda. The idea that the 1,000,000 challenge is evidence assumes that James Randi genuinely wants to find the truth. How many times have you heard a skeptic say 'They might be lying' to dismiss an anecdotal account, and yet, James Randi is above this? I call BS.

  • just tell us all u want is money 4 books dvds life is a fukin bi scam ye get fuked bothways

  • I like paranormal shows but honestly as soon as some retard comes out talking in other voices it becomes a fuckin joke...you'd have to do an entirre show on valedating the mediums claims before id even waste the time watching. Psychics are full of shit

  • I feel that mediums are full of shit and I love the paranormal shows but once a medium comes out its done. It becomes a joke

  • @wasted6666666666 Its not an opinion! It is based on several researchers and skeptics who have proved that mediums and so-called "spoon bender" are charlatans!!! This including the "skeptic society" and people like James Randi. If any of these absurd claims item were true someone would have won Randi's million dollar challenge. He has proved time and again these abilities are frauds and the people tricksters using known magicians slight of hand to accomplish. You should do your home work JERK!

  • @AmericanGayAtheist: Recently an ESP-affirming paper was published in a leading scientific journal by Daryl J. Bem. The society for psychical research has been publishing papers on the subject of after death communication and esp for decades. I don't think that mediums have been 'disproved' at all. Show your stuff. What peer-reviewed material can you link to that disproves mediums?

  • you can read the book online

  • Mediums? REALLY? MEDIUMS??? REALLY?!?! This nonsense has been disproved since the turn of the LAST century! You realize there were REAL scientist who believed that Uri Geller had REAL abilities to bend spoons (even though he is now admitting it was just an illusion and not real)! CRAZY FUCKING PEOPLE will believe anything without empirical evidence! (hence all you mental defects who believe religious nonsense!)

  • @AmericanGayAtheist This book is empirical evidence you idiot read the book before you make ignorant coments

  • @failedak47crew Nonsense! I want to know who was overseeing these experiments with these "amazing" results! Just a book saying that such and such happened is not proof enough. Like I said, Uri Geller was able to fool trained scientist. So I ask you, what is the proof that anything in this book is true?

  • Thank for sharing - I will look for the book

  • Afterlife = childish wishful thinking PERIOD!

  • @AmericanGayAtheist and your evidence for that sweeping statement is?

  • @thatgirl1269 The proof is that there is no proof! This is an old trick of the religious. "You can't prove there is no god!" It is like saying, "You can't prove there isn't a tooth Fairy!" No, I can't but the burden of proof is on the one making the outrageous claims! I also can't prove there is no bigfoot, or UFO abductions. but where is the proof? You want an "afterlife" because it "relieves" the fear of death that our instinct to survive wants so badly. But wanting is not proof either!

  • @AmericanGayAtheist LOL@your blanket statements of emotion, that you offer of course without any evidence.

  • @astrolifter I'm not making the "outrageous" claim. I am the one responsible for evidence! Prove Zeus doesn't exist? Prove Apollo doesn't exist. See the point... The burden of proof is upon the person making the claim, not the one pointing out that the claimant has no evidence to show for his claim.

  • @AmericanGayAtheist Well, some of us that do believe that an afterlife exists, have had personal experiences, which of course "know it all" skeptics will blindly dismiss. If you choose not to believe then feel sorry for you. It feels great to have no fear of death, and in fact to actually look forward to it and savor the experience when it comes.

  • @AmericanGayAtheist Also, the afterlife experiments do offer evidence to suggest the existence of an afterlife, if you blindly refuse to accept it, then oh well...."

  • @astrolifter What evidence? Even a stopped clock is right twice a day???!! Does that make it potentially an accurate device? NO! I know the thought of not existing is unpleasant but creating a "lie" about it is not helpful, in fact it hinder the spirit (and here I mean "Human will" not the absurd "religious" soul) from allowing you to become all you can become. religion & nonsense about an afterlife has haunted humanity for far too long. We need to be set free from mythology once and for all!

  • If you haven't read it already, you can find a discussion between Schwartz and Hyman with regards The Afterlife experiments by typing in "How Not to Test Mediums: Critiquing the Afterlife Experiments" and entering the first site (CSIOPS) On that same page you should be able to find Schwartz's reply ("How Not To Review Mediumship Research") and Hyman's subsequent reply to that ("Hymans Reply to Schwartz")
