SO. I came back again to listen to the MUSICAL presentation. LOVED the voice(I am from England but do not know this language)). But MOST of ALL, may I pay my RESPECT to this close knit community. Thank you.
These Acadians Canadians cajun against all odds survived the deportation by the English, kept their community alive, maintained leur joie de vivre and that is the result. This proves that old english people from the British iles are imbeciles.
@54321Rambler you can be if you are a good steward of the land and love life and all the wonderful things it offers, family, friends, wine women song and victuals. Its more an attitude than ancestorship that and location. Come on down to the bayou have a sit down some wine and some crawfish we'll keep the lights on for ya.
@clovenrick really? HAd to call names did ya. Yes you are none of things and not too friendly either. stupid asshat. No one cares what you think anyway. Now back under that rock.
@clovenrick what the hell ae you on about man I was born in Lake Charles pal. I don't pretend to be anything, i'm justaman living in a fucked up world. I have never seen southern comfort so I don't know what your talking about. I hunt fish and trap, I eat what I catch and I party with friends. Sounds like you haven't any friends and I can see why. My channel has nothing to do with who I am its the net man. So whatever.
@clovenrick apology accepted and I didn't know about the club of which you speak. lighten up man be happy life is too short for misery and anger. we are all strands in the web.
This is a great video, great looking community. Whatever is in their blood it carries from generation to generation. They are all on the same beat even the smallest kids. They all know how to dance, with slight variations, but all the same. Whoever said white people can't dance hasn't seen this recorded piece of special time in these people lives. This is what makes youtube awesome, this is what the world should see not those other idiot videos that get millions of hits.
les bon temps roulez sorry fir the bad spelling cant tell you cajuns how much i love you all as said before best weekend of my british life was in cajun louisiana over ten years ago .. hows that for making an impression xx
i came back again and had to delay in case anyone thought I was a freak. Once again again what I see is a community with ALL their children living in the joy of the music from the band. I hope there comes a day when I can just be with and enjoy the company of the PEOPLE.
Time went so fast since I was a 10 year old tite-fille and the "C'est Fun" album was released...
« La plus vieille d'la bande, c'est la plus vaillante__Et c'est la plus mignonne, alle a les yeux canaille__Dis-pas à ta Mam que j'ai goûté ton bec__Et puis dis-pas à ton Pop, parce qu'il a pas sa bonne tête__Tu seras la mienne jusqu'au péril d'la vie__Ti-Galop pour la Pointe-aux-Pins__Chères cousines, mais donnez-moi celle-là__Et si c'est pas celle-là, je n'en veux pas du tout »
Laissez les Bon Temps Rouler. Looks a lot more fun than line dancing.
People of all ages having a good time, bumping into each other and doing their own thing. After a hot sizzling jambalaya and un petite verre or two of good vin rouge 'C'est la Fete' with a good cajun band playing the real thing . Bravo!!!
I dont care, I have come back to see a lot of people enjoying themselves. Its got to be the way that the music is played and the people on the floor. THANK YOU for letting me watch.
Beautiful people beautiful a sad history of tragedy and triumph. Beautuful culture. My mother who went to medical school at Tulane has found memories of this great state and when she comes to visit. Going to Lousiana is a MUST
@Jrebindixie - Jreb, there ain´t no law that can keep Cajuns from having fun. I´m European and I know the counties Cajuns came from...leaving France with but what they could carry, being kicked out of Acadie, relocating in Lousiana, getting labeled "stupid swamp dwellers"..and still the best !!!
I love these kinds of dances! Everyone, young and old alike, gets out on the dance floor. It's just great, wholesome fun for everyone! It's too bad everyone can't experience how much fun it is to be a part of this.
SCRAMBBLER390 thanks for posting this clip of our band at randol's restaurant . i am the drummer for jambalaya . it is nice for you to put this clip. we are still at randol's every friday night . come by sometime . thanks again . tony
The first is La Pointe aux Pins, which I think in English is "Pine Point." I think the singer invites his girl to canter (galop) on horseback with him to Pine Point. Pretty certain the man who wrote it was named Adam Hebert.
