If you travel down the boulevard on any given day, you will see that all the SMU girls are HOT... and unlike tech girls SMU girls have three key qualities besides looks... money, brains...and a future. but hey then again, RAIDER POWER! is that the chant you'll be singing when ya'll are cleaning up my floors? well, in that case... here's your mop!
Defensive much? Sounds like another private college with no school pride and a bunch of kids whose biggest accomplishment in life was being born into a wealthy family. Congratulations on that feat of personal accomlishment...
SMU created the campaign Pony Up to get more of their own fans to come and support their team, they can't get alumni or students to come support them.
Plus the past few weeks SMU was talking sh*t about how they are going to beat Tech. That tech can't play in the humidity in Dallas. If you don't like us running up the score then stop us. What do you want us to do? Kneel on the ball? That would be a more of an insult to SMU that you can't play defense.
So if going for it on 4th down isn't running up the score, is kicking a field goal not? We still would have put points on the board. It must be embarrassing for a school to have the away team fans out number the home team. It just shows that SMU has no fans or they just didn't wanna come see the beat down.

What do you expect from us? We didnt have our starters in and they were still moving the ball. Its not our job to not score points. It is our job to make sure that our players get the most out of every game, and letting our backup quarterback make some plays was exactly the right thing to do. It was up to SMU's defense to keep us out of the endzone. If you want to have beef about high scores, go complain about OU hanging 79 points on North Texas.
if you hadn't have gotten the death penalty for cheating maybe you would have a decent football team. How were we assholes? We outnumbered you in your own stadium? give me a break wreckem

Sad when a school like Texas Tech has to pick on the ponies to feel better about themselves. I was there and I would like to say that Tech fans are some serious assholes. Not to mention the coach who went for it at 4th and Goal at the 2 when Tech was up 49-9 with a few minutes to go. Very classy, Raider Nation

I was outside a hotel next to SMU the day of the football game. A crowd of Texas Tech fans were at the corner next to me. The crowd included several kids, parents, and grandparents. A SUV full of SMU girls drove by and cussed at the crowd. They proceeded to park nearby and continue to taunt the crowd. That's my first and only impression of SMU students.
