this is one of my favourite tracks from that period of the great SAW cannon. tin pan production and corny lyrics aside, this is actually quite a sophisticated melody. for a plastic pop song, it hits some sad notes and plaintive chords.... timeless little pop masterpiece.

Rick Astley did not miss out on recording this song because he had left SAW before he could record it- if you read Pete Waterman's autobiography Rick actually Refused to record it as he hated it so they gave it to Jason. It was at the point where Rick wanted out of SAW which happened about 4 or 5 months after theis song was released in Sep 88.
