3) I also watched your "Disturbia Pop" video, it's amazing how "club" you can make an ordinary room seem. How much time was there between you making that vid and this one? You seemed to go crazy with this one, which is always fun.
2) The spirit of this video and pace, as well as kind of eerie-ness - make me think of the old Aphex Twin vids by Chris Cunningham, "Rubber Johhny" in particular (couldn't post link, but it's on YouTube); have you seen it? If not, your video here isn't remarkably similar or anything, but you can see where your vid reminded me of that (the relevant bits begin around the 2-minute mark). It's pretty neat stuff, and the mood is set up entirely by editing and that low-quality night shot.
Continuing from that "1)," it's a total cop-out for someone - particularly a person who has any opinion of video/filmmaking - to say they can't make anything good with limited resources. Get more creativity people; like any filmmaker, once you have your hands and feet shackled down, and an ungodly deadline to meet, you find out just how good you are at adapting to given circumstances, and if you can't make something good out of what little you have, then get better or GTFO.
BTW - I'm kind of verbose, so here comes an avalanche of thoughts from a fellow video editor/video-making-guy.
1) Because it MUST be said, but why are so many comments here about the software used? Most of that commentary is inane chatter from people who have kind of an ego problem. I use the Adobe Creative Suite 3, 4, and (more recently) 5; I use After Effects and Photoshop in my videos; I teach sound design on Audition 2.0 and Premiere from 5.5 to CS4. And this video was GREAT entertainment.

I wish I could say I found this video whilst browsing Jabba vids, but the truth is, a mutual friend of ours sent me the link MONTHS ago, and I never got to it until she asked me again about 15 minutes ago if I'd seen it, and then I felt like a jerk for saying "...not... yet??"
Anyway, this was really fun to watch, man. Most fanmade MVs I see kind of just don't acknowledge beats and rhythm/melody in the songs they use, but this really hit lots of good marks.

@magicianmunar Yep. I only had WinXP at the time, and found a bunch of information here on youtube about extra FX and transitions that you could put into Windows Movie Maker. There's an entire forum (it's years old, from around 2004) that was based on user created content for WMM to allow more FX/Transitions than it had. Rehan FX is one of the big submitters of User Created Content for video editing in WMM.
Your "special effects" were better than your dancing, but reading some of the comments I was expecting you to be bad or something. But you're not! This was really quite good :) A fitting tribute for the best crew EVA!!!

@PLURLazy I found it at a "Asian Cutlery" store in the mall. It's one of those stores that has nothing but Chinese, Japanese swords, clothing, decor (such as Jade Buddhas and the like), and they had a whole section with anime/game stuff (Sephiroth's Masamune, Ichigo's Zanpaktou) and they had these masks there. You might be able to find it online too, so I'd definitely do a google search on it.
this is sweet i really have to say your editing skills are pretty good the only problem i have with the video is the angle of the camera i wish it was laying flat not at an angle but yeah my friend develops keygens so if he makes one for sony vegas i'll be sure to send you the code that is if you want it a bit of other improvements could be made like with the begining with the computer errors maybe make the color a bit less bright and make a bit more stuff going on there but pretty good still

@XxxxxxMasacrexxxxxX Considering I'm not some spoiled brat with a mommy and daddy to buy them everything, I'd say I did pretty good working with a limited type of editing software. Not everyone can afford new software with a mortgage, car payment, and other day-to-day living costs.

First off, the fact that I'm working with a limited program & yet was still able to make something like this, shows a determination to do what I can with what I have. Secondly, most of the websites I found that I could download Vegas Pro for free always have adware/spyware infecting all their shit. And thirdly, if you're not offering something constructive, GTFO.

This is not Windows Movie Maker, because in windows movie maker you cant do this effect : 1:29 - 1:30 on the guy this effect doesn't exist in WMM
you can do that effect good in Sony Vegas, and when he use Sony Vegas then he are very bad^^ but nice dance :))

The video wasn't about the dance, it was about the editing, & how you can hear a song, & give the sounds of the music a visual context to express it in your own terms.
