  • this is a car pedobear should have.

    "kids love is"

  • how is environmental leaders shipping your "cars" from China. Not only does shipping expel tons of C02, but China is now the worlds worst polluter.

  • @jpmorgan187 We pollute as much as China and we will always. It's just that they don't buy Gore's co2 and carbon cap BS. But we do and as a consequence of the cap and trade, we will have to pay to expel co2. Buy the way, as you read this, how much co2 did you expel. What ever the amount, try not to tell your friend Al or he'll be thinking of a way to charge you for your polluting lungs.

  • Love the Zapper!

  • Hey sparti555. You are the real DF. Assuming that by "standard batteries" you mean regular lead-acid batteries. You should do a little research before you go spouting off like the rear end of a horse :-) It just so happens that "standard batteries" are 99% recyclable. Why do you think they can be returned for a core charge refund in many states? Duh.

  • Hello do the company sell the truck with a close box in the back and solar panel ??? thank you for th answer

  • I heard there is a solar panel option for $2,000. All day in the sun gets you 2 miles or so.

  • Tesla has only sold two auto's and ( 100% electric" and" City legal) mine goes over 40 mph and its 2 years old..... I have only had a good experience with ZAP.

I must say I have placed many a post,,,, and NEVER has anyone taken the time to email me. I will continue to just post what's true for me. I have read good and bad news on all those companies you have mentioned. blue/sky's

  • I have a 2006 ZAP truck and love it. I read the wired article, it is a smear campaign...it put down peoples personalities, education,it did not read well! ZAP is the only 100% electric auto on the market today( I am sure this is why ZAP is targeted with some bad press!!!) "but" look at the whole picture, I read great things about ZAP everyday....In The News...World Wide

  • medeirosginny is wrong on many counts. First I gotta say I am a HUGE fan of electric cars and I have been tracking ZAP for a very long time. First, ZAP is not the only 100% electric car company. There is Tesla Motors, miles motors, myers motors, and many more companies in the USA and abroad who only make pure electric vehicles. Second, I was very excited about ZAP for along time, just like you. I have read tons of news reports about ZAP that are both positive and negative. (continued)

  • Great concept, but wait, what about all those millions of batteries in the dumps, there will be way more land pollution created from batteries then any other source know to men. Gas is less of a pollutent then batteries will ever be. We can't even recylce standard batteries . What are you guys thinking off.

  • Millions of batteries in the dumps? Oh really, you might look into what happens to the valuable commodities in batteries and how much is recycled. Gas less of a pollutant (use a spell check or finish H.S. please)? Try this: Run your "gas" car in your garage with the door closed, while I run my electric car in the garage with the door closed. Which is less of a pollutant?

  • So I made a spelling mistake Why don't you shoot me. You really are a DUMB FUCK. Read up on batteries then comment. Why would you want to run your car in the garage. Oh, I get it, your trying to commit suicide in the garage with an Electric vehicle HA HA HA HA HA

  • Bravo Alex Campbell! Do'nt listen to the people that say it's cheap or ugly.Burning carbon is cheap and ugly in my book. You say kids like it.There the ones that will benefit from your thoughtful contribution today.Your giving up your today for there tomorrows.Theres nothing cheap or ugly about that.Bravo!!

  • If you are thinking about investing in this company (ZAP!), I suggest you first read an article in the April 2008 issue of Wired Magazine titled, "Eco Hype: ZAP's No-Show Green Cars."

  • I want Zaps next generation electric car:

Aluminum-framed, 644-horsepower crossover looks like the bee's knees—the companies claim that the vehicle will hit 60 miles-per-hour in just 4.8 seconds, and charge on to 155 mph (with that much power at its disposal, we imagine this must be a governed top speed). Even better, the seven-passenger ZAP-X is said to have a range of 350 miles per charge, and the batteries can be topped off in a scarcely believable ten minutes. With Lotus engineering.

  • too bad youll never see it ZAP is a scam

  • The gas companies making billions off of us is an even bigger scam.

  • More creeks than a piece of crap from GM

  • Mr Bean would like one - a three wheeler.

    A sucker born every minute!

  • Read the article in Wired magazine online for a good expose' of ZAP. not a pretty picture.

I test drove a Zebra, yuck. horrible braking, bumpy ride, no power.

Aptera looks to be the best thing coming down the pike if they can get the cost down.

  • The Zebra is targeted for sale as an inexpensive product. It will probably be sold at K-Mart in the future. Putting aside the presentation, at this price its a low cost alternative to the obviously higher costing performance choices that most of the population can not afford. Yay to the people who can afford this : )

  • The Zebra is a joke. I feel like I have seen them in India. They are almost like a mule drawn truck bed looking thing. I wouldn't waste the money on the products they have to offer, because they look cheap and they are made in China. I'm not sure if they are up to date in the news, but China isn't doing too well with their products. The ZAP-X SUV looks brilliant though with a top speed of 155 mph, who wants to street race?? A solar panel on top of the truck??? Guaranteed somebody would steal it.

  • I want the Zap X, but it better not squeak inside like that damn Xebra.

  • I've been riding a bike to work for three years, waiting for the right electric car to come along. If the XL comes in a Solar model by May 2008 I'll buy one. This I swear.

  • The concept of an electric car is great, but honestly, 40 mph? 40 miles per charge? What kind of sucker would fall for that? Come on, man. It's better to wait for the APX from Lotus.

  • This guy is a dork. Just walk.

Notice how he says they are made in China. great!

rooftop solar panel? Thats a joke.

anybody looking in to Direct Ethanol Fuel Cells?

  • My ATV has more cc's

  • Two, for the segway wannabe thing . . . just WALK. If people weren't so lazy they wouldn't need anything like that and could just walk from warehouse to warehouse. Oh but the basket, the zappy has a basket to carry whatever the guy needs; because you know people don't have hands to carry what they need to bring with them. Until cars like Lotus and Tesla Motor's Roadster start being mass produced for the public at a price normal people can afford, I'm sticking with gas and diesel.

  • Ok. One, the zebra is really ugly, I don't care if it saves the environment or not. I wouldn't be caught dead driving something that looks like that.

  • lmao! "hopefully we could come up with some more names that uh can high lite animals that are in danger... like zebras." ahahahhaahah

  • I love the sound of an electric car--that pleasing humming. That being said, I think the footage could have been framed a little better. Nevertheless, I found the video informative and interesting.

    Thanks!

  • Even if it runs off of the existing coal dominated grid, it's still about 45% greener than conventional gasoline.

  • ye sadly the power needs to come out of the grid a solar charger is ok but when it is dark so you will need windpower to, to run totaly free, who is paying for the solarpannel and the windmil.
