Thanks very much for sharing, mint driving!...Just got a manual 04 E46, and doing the ring next month, any advice gratefully received!!....thanks again!
@125zetecs DSC was on, yeah; you can hear it cut in at some points. In my opinion you'd be mad (or very rich) to turn it off on the ring - you only have to go around a corner to find a patch of oil a car has left and it's game over.
In fact, after Adenau Forst, you can see a large oil trail, covered in sand, which I have to drive over - it spins up the rear on the first press of the throttle afterwards!
im about to purchase an ebc brake yellowstuff all around for my car, including the rotors.. how is the braking may i know, compare to greenstuff, redstuff etc, and other brands.. ? hope to hear any input.. thx
@upbeatmantis86 Yellowstuff pads are great - I got zero fade on consecutive laps on the 'ring with them. Just make sure you change your brake fluid before you go tracking! As for rotors, I'd stick with stock; the standard M3 rotors are floating anyway (at least in the EU). Plus they are pretty cheap compared to aftermarket ones.
@enta2k Its much more fun to follow than getting chased. I feel him, i can see it every round on the nordschleife that people let pass other. Some of them are even slower.
If i get chased, i drive like an idiot while trying to become faster, thats the reason why i let them pass.

@Jam3sH1 The car is standard apart from EBC Yellowstuff brake pads all round. It was running 18s and Michelin Pilot Sport 2s

A realy nice lap, 8:33 is very good for a tourist round with traffic on the track.
Im wondering why the other bmw gave up, he seems as fast as you O_o
