even if craft from other planets wanted to travel to earth a billion times faster than the speed of light it would take billions of years just to complte the journey due to the unkown scale of the universe. so regardless how fast they could travel it would take billions of years for them to even reach us. the time it would take them to reach us is longer than the earth has been known to exist.
