I think the second one is way scarier. I played it at midnight with no lights on & in surround sound. Try doing that & see if you don't get scared out of your mind. I know I nearly jumped out of my skin on more than one occasion.

@JohnTheFox636 no. only the beginning part. the rest is in the dark at night. If you want a good scare than play these games. Fatal Frame 2 is way scarier, but each has its own merits. Just don't play it alone in the dark in surroud sound.

Me and my brother played this game. Mostly my brother cause I couldn't take it for too long. The remote shook when ever you saw a ghost. We stayed up late and played it. If you want a good scare, this is it! trust me. Even though we aren't kids, r palms were sweating from nerves. You get very shaken by it...the music and noises alone freak you out. It's been a couple years since I last played, I'm to scared to play it again.
