  • Opening song is Sam Koki's Paradise Isles, then direct into Yellow Ginger Lei. Casey shows early signs of great playing ~ wow, that was back in 1990. Thanks for the upload ~ this is really nice. Tanx! Unc. Kiki p.s. More Casey Olsen uploads welcomed!!

  • @KIKIHAWAIIANMUSIC These 3 were great examples of how Hawaiian music should be

played. l/r: Kalani Fernandes, Casey and dad Hiram Olsen. Hiram's rhythm is awesome, a driving force behind Casey, yet never overbearing. Kalani was an excellent bass player and vocalist. Sadly, not too long after this clip was taken,

Kalani passed away....a victim of Cancer. Casey studied steel under Jerry Byrd and his Makuakani , the amazing Billy Hew Len. (He is Billy's grand son).

  • @KeokiLake1 Mahalo Keoki for the add'l info. Can't go wrong being tutored by Byrd and Hew Len, wow, what a heck of a combination! Take care, Unc. Kiki
