Hello, I'm in Brazil use 250 gm engine in my car, I saw your video and I want to make this change in my head. Where I can buy the "pat pend T6g2"? know any site to send me here in Brazil? can you help me? % on average how many I have for improvement with this modification to an aspirated engine? Crower 03312 with command?
Once the Premium lump is installed , the small bolt holding it is much less of a obstacle to air flow than the normally gaping hole as with the normal lumps.@snowman4839
@snowman4839 google hi flow lumps and goto there website..ttom is using the standard lumps. hi flow also offers premium lumps with no headbolt interference
@boss1987221 Very good catch on your part. You need to remember, the head will need to be reassembled and I would expect it to be cleaned at that time.
The early Duggan head does not flow anywhere near close to what a Kirby head flows. The exhaust port flowed OK though.
Duggan sold the rights to those heads to Mike K & Joe Deppe.
Mike K has made several improvements of the head since he got the patterns from Duggan
So far,a guy in Brazil, has the Kirby head & w/7 psi of boost pressure made 700 HP to the wheels. To date, best run so far is 8.6 seconds in the 1/4. 250 CI.
Great inline video. i live in Brazil and these engines are very popular around here. I run a 250 with a Isky cam and holley 600 d.p. My brither run a turbo 250. these bolt in lumps should work very well! Over 220 cfm is excelent flow for the ancient inline head!
The chev six is definately the king of the inline sixes. I'm an Aussie boy and they remind me of a big version of our Holden inline six [ 186 ci , 202 ci ]. Srangely enough one of the best flowing chev six heads came from ' downunder ' , the Duggan alloy 12 port. I believe these heads flowed similar on the flow bench to the sissell 12 port but had a vastly superior intake velocity which resulted in them making more actual horsepower [ as opposed to flow bench horsepower ]. Love them sixes !
Guessing it improves flow by 'spliting it'.

Great video tom. Is there a way to cover the top of the head bolt so that it's a smooth lump without having the head bolt head stick out?
