For those who haven't seen this film, let me get 2 things straight. 1st, it's not porn. There are no images of naked people doing the dirty. 2nd, it's not a re-hash of the Disney fairytale. I found it to be quite good actually. Not a film if you want easy watching and quick gratification, but if you want something to watch where you have to think a little.

I found the nudity in the movie to be in good taste because most of the time it wasn't meant to be in anyway erotic for the viewer. However the ending was a bit indecisive. Haven't seen the movie yet but the feeling I get by watching the trailer is that this is going to be soooooo abismally bad, lol. Feels like an "arthouse" take on the old Histoire d'O shtick involving old rich people paying to live out their perverse fantasies with pretty adolescent girls. Films of this kind usually bomb dive into oblivion (and they usually present a scene or two of open pornography in the hope of titillating viewers curiosity). I'll stick to Stanley Kubrick myself ;)

actually I really liked this film. It shows a life of a girl, who left her drinking mother and started living on her own. She doesn't need her money, she makes it by herself. Okay, one of the ways is not the best one, but it's an experience. Lucy is lonely, but she pretends to be strong, though she really needs someone's shoulder... That's why she talks about the weddings. Whatever, the ratings are low, many don't like it, but I DO.

Sleeping Beauty's original storyline is that she is cast under a spell by a witch, and a man wanders inside a castle, stumbles upon her sleeping body, and rapes her in her immobile state. She is not woken by a kiss, but by contractions of pregnancy. I personally find this film intriguing and I can't wait to see it.

I found this movie to be quite haunting and dark, like a fairy tale SHOULD be. People get to worked up over the littlest thing. I applaud Julie for taking on a beloved fairy tale and making it her own. This is called creativity, something that is lacking in this world. I consider this to be a modern allegory and a quite good one at that. People need to stop bitching and complaining, gosh!

My idea: The reason the lady couldn't wake Lucy up at first was b/c the drug she took from the dude the previous night made her sick so the drink wasn't as effective as to a person who's healthy. Old man = not healthy = death. The reason Lucy was yelling at the end was prob b/c she realized she could have died too and/or she missed her chance to see the truth(abuse) in the recording.
