  • Pause at 0:34 and you will se that it says: Boeing 747-400f. And it have winglets, so his right. It is a 400 model ;)

  • Gawd you guys dont comment on the video about its a fucking 747-200...he was there and he knows what the aircraft is! and it is a 747-400F and the upperdeck is small because it doesnt need that much space because it just equipment and probably sleeping quarters...its a cargo plane they dont need the stretch upperdeck. and great video by the way awesome angle shot :)

  • One of the reasons for a short upper deck is a company cannot use an upper deck for a cargo hold, instead they can only use main deck (there must be a separation between cargo hold area and the crew rest area, which is in upper deck). Besides, upper deck is not big enough to fit a lot of cargo in it.

So, there is no point making a larger upper deck for a freighter.

  • i gotta be honest, that bird scared the shit outta me, i thought it was going to fly into the engine.

  • AWESOME!

  • Run for the hills...Koreans on final!!!

  • lol

  • Sorry mate, the hills are where they crash!

    (Nimitz Hill comes to mind.)

  • the perfect time to record without winds, listen to power the turbines beautiful video 5 stars

  • Korean air use to be one of the worst air Lines, but right know is good air line thanke 4 the clip!

  • it wasnt the worst airline..... it was just an "Unlucky" airline company..

  • ok, its been like 9 months when i watched this video.

  • Had nothing to do with "Luck" Each of their accidents are the cause of Pilot error. Even the 2 that got shot down by the Russians.

First was a 707 that strayed into Soviet territory due to impropperly figuring magnetic demarcation, and KAL 007 the pilots failed to switch the A/P from Heading select to INS mode. Pure checklist failure! Not to mention not keeping an accurate plot.

  • Nice video dude. Thanks for posting it.

  • Nice video. I love the sound and how close the jet is.... Great.

  • everyone its a -400 series because only the -400's have winglets and that the upper deck is smaller. Its not that hard to figure out.

  • Okay took me a second to figure out what you where saying.

It IS a -400F. The Freighter versions do NOT have a Streached upper deck.

    So you are correct.

Now if it was a -400BCF (Converted Cargo Frieghter) it would have the SUD, and no Front cargo door.

  • This is a B747-200F not a B747-400F.

  • It has winglets so it`s a -400.

Note the new delivered -400Freights doesn`t have the same upperdeck as the normal -400 but a smaller upperdeck.

  • True, the 747 with winglets are the 400 series.

  • He sure seemed in quite a hurry;

the flare was maybe only 0.5 seconds.

Also, the inner right flap had quite a shake.

I wonder if KAL's colour scheme

was partly inspired by another airline.

Hmmm....let me think which airline it could be.

  • Because this aircraft has winglets its a -400.

  • RudolfAir, dchris91 is right, this has a 2 small a hump to be a -400 series aircraft

  • Check the registration number HL7497 and you can see its a Boeing 747-4B5F(SCD).

F stands for Freight wich means that it doesn`t have the same upperdeck as the normal -400 but a smaller upperdeck because they cann`t sell the upperdeck space to passengers so there is no need for the extra space on the upperdeck. So boeing build the -400Freight with a smaller upperdeck.

  • B747A300 you are right that the hump looks 2 small.

  • No R747A300 is WRONG!

It is a 747-400F. Which does not have the SUD!
