That song is a little odd because it is somewhat opposite to her true character. Here is a quote from the song

it was such a diapointment that the daytime emmys of 08 didn't do a tribute to the soap actors who died this year(2008) like shell kepler(amy gh) or beverly mckinsey and others. i know that beverly's son was a director at general hospital and i am not sure if he still is. that was a huge slap in the face

It has been reported she died of renal(kidney) failure :( I remember her too used to watch her years ago on GH. She was a hoot. Rest in Peace Shell way too young.
