This is called "RONDO". Cruyff made this extremely popular in Barcelona when I was a kid in the early 90s. Because the difficulty to find a proper pitch to play kids used to play rondos anywhere. The rules are very simple, the players form a circle and one of them (can be two like Barça does) goes in the middle. They have to pass the ball using no more than 1 or 2 touches as agreed previously. If the guy in the middle intercepts your pass then you take his place. Practice passing and pressing.

They're good because they take this drill seriously, and use it in the real game. Most teams just brush off this drill.. But their one touch passing is why they dominate. Plus they have great control and really good players.. :)

U can't say they cheat cause they got a bad penalty, all teams occasionally get unfair penalties for them. and so those were like 2 legitimate games over the past 3 years.

@resistancerydman and no, I don't think Barcelona is the perfect team..unfortunately when playing against madrid, they don't mind playing dirty, and diving just because the other team does the same thing. Also I can admit that at least this year, they've been struggling to stay on the same level as last year. Oh, and in your first comment you said, Messi, Xavi, and Iniesta dive. They barely ever dive..the players that dive are Busquets and sometimes Alves...haters gonna hate..

They have their weaknesses, but thats because the team isn't complete yet. barca plays with 2 midfielders as their centre backs, No team ever took such a high risk, within 3 years this barca will be perfect, and they will smashing records.

They're good because they take this drill seriously, and use it in the real game. Most teams just brush off this drill.. But their one touch passing is why they dominate. Plus they have great control and really good players.. :)

@MySun999 Yes, I've seen Spanish teams hold them with 2x4 guys at the back. But you need 8 players with the iron discipline to stay focused and do nothing but defend for 90 minutes. A lot of Barça goals start when 1 defender gets impatient and leaves his post to collect the ball or simply when he's distracted.
