I remember when this was a big hit song; I would hear an occasional commercial on both WLS and WCFL in Chicago promoting his album. I can't quote word for word, but the jist of it was, "America has a new singing and songwriting STAR." Too bad he disappeared after just one hit, but that's the way the cosmic tumblers mesh sometimes, or whatever they say. Yes, I also bought the 45 and played the hell out of it!
