My favourite part is the beautiful white skinned woman/girl. She's absolutely gorgeous. I love this music video. Although it is slightly creepy, I happen to like the macabre elements. I think it's only natural to be interested in death. Humans have been for centuries before death went into obscurity as something dirty, unclean. Birth, life and death are just the natural order of things and nothing to be afraid off, I think. But that is just my humble opinion.

Trent Reznor showed up on the scene about '85, before he starred in Light of Day movie to help out on keyboards while I wrote songs. I wrote Head Like A Hole and Closer for him. I had just seen the movie Real Genius with Tom Cruise's friend Val Kilmer. There is a line in the movie Real Genius which I repeated to Trent. "Can you hammer a six inch spike...?" This was inspiration for the band name Nine Inch Nails. He thought the initials (NIN) would look good on a logo.
