  • Not gonna lie...I am super jealous right now =/ LOL!

This was very good, especially since it is your first composition for piano! Awesome job :D

  • @GenesisBmusic thank you! you don't have to be jealous. I still have a lot more to learn.

    Respect,

    bryan

  • Classic battle theme, I love it. Its got that 8-bit feel that comprises all that is battle. Images of final fantasy of course flash before my eyes, and yet this is something new. Nice job, and aptly named.

  • ¡Excelent!Thanks for sharing.

  • @AVIRUKA Thank you so much!

  • wow :))

    good job.

  • @mnsmakarov thanks bro! I told you it's something to amp you up!

  • Hot dayum Bryan!! This was awesome!!! Now I dont throw around my compliments so easy! For a first comp this is way awesome!! Im gonna go out on a limb and say ur a musically educated man no? This was engaging from the start! Why? U started with quick fluorishes of notes which intrigued me immediately! Then u used triplets followed by 4 nice staccato chords. That form of phrasing really intrigues me. I love when a composer can use timing efffectively and 'space out' their music.

  • @Arrow9100kj a sting of continuous notes becomes dull very quickly. I also loved how you use all kinds of chords. Loved the little sus4 resolution at 0:57 right before the loop....thats probably your guitar influence. Ive noticed guitarists are usually more keen than others to use sus4 resolutions because the voicings for thos on guitar are simple. Check out Yasunori Mitsuda's work, they usually contain suspensions and his main instrument is the guitar. I can rant about this for ages B-man =P!

  • @Arrow9100kj I also like the name. I believe Sakuretsu means to react to something and it definitely sounds like ur reacting to a challenge from some wild monsters or something. This could work in games like FFI to VI perfectly as the battle themes Uematsu composed sound similar to this in structure. My only tip/recommendation, I can give to you will be given on fb or msn or wherever next I see u XD!!! Great work dude and thanks a billion for drawing my attention to this.....I am impressed!

  • @Arrow9100kj Sakuretsu literally means explosion. And yeah it's like you're reacting on a challenge against a monster. And I composed it for a normal battle theme. you're right about it sounding like uematsu-san's battle themes because I used the battle theme for FF9 as an influence, with a pinch of THOSE WHO FIGHT, which are evident in some rhythmic passages.

  • @seikun616 My japanese is a bit rusty but since I watch loads of Naruto....I think bakuhatsu means explosion >.<. But this did sound like a 'normal' battle theme and I did kinda feel the those who fight vibe with the rising bass patterns at around 0:14 and around there. Its technically a common thing to do to build drama so I didnt mention it xD. And the FFIX OST and FFIX in general is very much like the classic ffs (1~6)

  • @Arrow9100kj pk im gonna check that dude! thank you... It's inspired by ff9's battle theme

  • @Arrow9100kj thanks for your compliment brother! Something that i really appreciate a lot! Now the only question is if it is playable on a real piano. hahah! by the way you and the person whom I dedicated this piece are the ones who have a copy of the score draft as of now. But you're free to share it anytime! Thanks again!

    respect,

    Bryan

  • @seikun616 @seikun616 GASP! I didnt even know you sent the score! I thought u just sent the audio >.<. It was still fun to see that I was correct in my analysis! Now this is very playable on a piano. I actually think I can play it a bit. Well, I can probably handle everything at maybe 120BPM minus the sextuplet runs. But trust me.....this is so very very playable....I know I actually WANT to paly it. It sounds really really fun!
