I have been refretting my OWN guitars for about 18 years.I learned from Dan Erlewine video's. It would NEVER occur too me to use Super Glue. I think thats a BAD idea. I use 5 minute epoxy. Hey-but if it works for you-go for it.
omg dude you suck you DO NOT use super glue on this sort of thing for gods sake man it will not work pro guitar makers use a proper wood glue E.G pva glue and they put it under the part they want glued in.
@snakev10v5 super glue is strong, dries fast, and can be thinned to fit into tight spaces, there's nothing wrong with super glue unless you're a purist
I assume they are referring to Cyro acrylite glue, also called CA glue. I used to use 3-5 second or 7-9 second types for tabletop wargame models, its used for alot of scale models or RC vehicles. It can be used to fill gaps because of capillary action. You can also use a spray on accelerator or misted water to solidify it.
it's not done yet, nether is the guide, but as i see the workshop of this guy, i realise i;m jsut an amature, however my guitar looks pretty good now :o
i dont think u want to do that because if theres to much pressure u might leave a dent in the fret which would mess your playing up but if u used something to cousion the clamp on to the fret than i think u would be safe.

in england it's called super glue. in slovakia it's called a second glue - dries in a second... really, needs to be supported for 1/2 minute at least
sasanka333 3 years ago
its simply called crazy glue. its really strong and usually comes in small tubes, you usually need to keep it refigerated to.

how would you hold down the frets if you don't have the arbor press. maybe a C-clamp?

a c-clamp would work if you use something to apply equal pressure across the fret, and remember not to apply too much pressure
