htc touch 2 is a good phone with good data base, the screen is responsive, the keyboard is better, but the samsung moment has a better program on it and has more accebility to it, it also has an even better touch screen, and the web is faster, the instinct hd breaks easily freezez easily, the touch screen is crap and the web is a little slow are hell..

but the choice is yours...

(more from comment below) Android is so customizable. The speakerphone on this phone is very loud. Some of the reviews said it was "boring" looking. I don't know why they say that because I really like it's looks. It is a bit big, but I personally like it since that gave room for the large screen. It doesn't feel thick to me. The keyboard is very good too. It has visual voicemail which is cool. I'm sure there is something I'm missing, but just wanted to give my opinion. Buy it!

This phone is freaking awesome! I just bought it today and I think it's the best device I had. I had the Pre, but it was just so damned sluggish and I had problems getting notifications from my calendar. The Moment has a very sweet AMOLED screen. It's very bright and clear. Apps pop up the second you hit them. Android has tons of apps. The camera is even better than the Pre (didn't think that was possible). Web works well, but again most of all, this thing flies!

You might want to wait for the hero to get an update. I have it and myself, along with many other hero owners, are experiencing problems with not receiving text messages as well as battery drain problems. There are other problems as well. The moment looks promising but it will seem bland compared to the amazing sense ui. My hero will be going back to best buy.

The Hero's specs are outdated. It has a 528Mhz processor vs the 800Mhz processor in the Moment. But, HTC mods android, so it has a better interface.

Why does it always feel like all the cell phone manufacturers never try to compete directly with the iPhone's technology. They all seem to half-ass it, or take the easy way out... particularly Samsung and LG. They create some gimmicky touch phone that has lackluster touch sensitivity and controls, and NEVER release any functionality updates after it's release.

But they don't have any qwerty Android phones besides the somewhat lacking G1 (for now). This one's got a faster CPU, more RAM, AMOLED screen - it's a pretty impressive phone on the specs side.

Don't get me wrong, I own an HTC device myself and it's unlikely that I'll ever buy something from a different brand if only because of the 'hacking support'.

I agree. But it is not only Sprint. This outsourcing is bad, man. I called Sprint telesales to get info and try to buy a Touch Pro 2, and it was a total pain. I don't mind accents, but it is very hard to communicate with them - even more when they just want to read their computer script.

Now, the Moment does look awesome. The screen is sexy and the 3.5 mm jack is a no-brainer. All I am waiting on Android is a Live Messenger App (hate eBuddy) and a Rhapsody/Napster one as well.
