Ellefson was very important too. He kept the band from falling for years, especially when Mustaine couldn't do it. Mustaine and Ellefson were a excellent duo, and this song (tornado of souls) is an example of Ellefson's kick ass song writting.
Ellefson also had his own way to play the bass guitar, with that violent, deep sound that many metal bands will later try to use (did I hear you say Jason Newsted?).

I didn't said that broderick make a mistakes. I don't care he's skillfull. There are hundreds of guitarists skillfull as broderick. What I'm saying is look at the rest of the guys. They spit themselves, gain org.asms, coz they feel the music. Broderick don't. You can hire broderick to play any music perfectly. So what? Look at marty when he played his own solo and look at broderick. Probably they said: Chris learn that solo. And chris did it perfectly. Note by note giving to megadeth nothing.

Besides, he plays the solo on "Tornado of Souls" without missing one single note! What's the matter with you, guys?! Your hearing fails you? You're awful! Hey, not everyone express their feelings the way you'd want them to. Look at Bruce running and jumping while sustaining every note, and then look at Halford standing on a chair, or simply walking from a corner of the stage to another. Same thing with Ozzy. Could you accuse the last two of lack of feelings? Give Broderick some time and you'll see he'll fit in perfectly. Wait for the new Megadeth album and relax. I think Mustaine knew what he did when he chose Chris Broderick, don't you think?

How...? Ya know, Marty never played that solo the same way twice since he kinda a just ripped it in two takes on the record.
Based on comments Marty and Dave have made recently (about each other), I'd say the original line-up of Guns N' Roses getting back together is more likely than Marty returning to Megadeth.
Dave said that finding Chris "reminds me a lot like when Ozzy found Randy Rhoads". So, that should let you know how highly Dave thinks of this dude.

Ellefson was very important too. He kept the band from falling for years, especially when Mustaine couldn't do it. Mustaine and Ellefson were a excellent duo, and this song (tornado of souls) is an example of Ellefson's kick ass song writting.
Ellefson also had his own way to play the bass guitar, with that violent, deep sound that many metal bands will later try to use (did I hear you say Jason Newsted?).
