The creepiest by far is number 2... That damn creepy face... I'm not that old, but the new BBC logo with the ribbons sorta creeps me out... Number 2 should be number 1!!! I think it's the music and the sudden movement that makes the logos scary...
Let's set the record straight, 60's to 90's Universal/MCA TV, Screen Gems (both S from Hell & Killer Sticks), 60's-70's Twentieth Century-Fox Television are WAY SCARIER than that "weirdo" Russian logo.
Also you have left out the Filmways "evil globe", the MGM TV "hungry lion" & the Columbia TV Productions "demonic pretzel".

how is that screen gems logo scary ? paramount home video #1 scariest logo come on man you shouldve put the worldvision home video logo its scared the hell out of me when i was a kid
@dooger94 I completely agree, and all that before the movie starts. Every time I see black and then a neon blue box appears accompanied by a sound kind of like a swarm of bees, I frantically reach for the remote! I'm screwed if I'm in a movie theater!
I agree. This is very scary as a child, and is still a bit creepy while older. There's something about it. The loud noise... scary logo.... then BLACK. And either you have to get up in the dark to eject the tape, or hide under your covers until daylight...
yeah, see, i dont think some people get it. maybe it was just around my generation (22yo), but as kids we had these vhs tapes, and you would turn the lights off to watch it cuz tv was still pretty crap "back then", and these logos would appear, loud and random, and if you think about it,or remember, you had NO friggin idea what was going on. you didnt know what a "logo" was. just this thing that would kind of "glare" at you after your nice movie was over. and then the tv snow would come... *shiver*
These logos are VERY creepy when one gets done playing and the TV automatically shuts off in the dark..............Then you freak out thinking a killer shadow is going to burst through your door and murder you...........Great.......now I'm paranoid and will probably have nightmares........
I'm not quite sure why these creep me out........Maybe because it feels like they were lost in a world that never existed.........Memories maybe.......not sure...... :|
8 is extremely scary - it's the only one of these i knew from my childhood because i had it on Wallace and Gromit tapes. The odd thing though - i was never scared of this in my childhood - i only got scared when i looked it up now i'm all grown up. :S
@BringItBackITV I was sorta always creeped by it, but not as much as I am now.......I had a lot of the wallace and gromit tapes......I loved them! Although I got creeped when the episode ended and that logo played and I was scared to turn off my TV........ : \
It's not the logo itself that is scary; it is usually the rather sudden movements that coincide with the rather peculiar-at-times music, that make these logos creepy at times. I'll admit, the Paramount Home Video Feature Presentation one got me all the time when I was a kid: if I was sitting on the couch, I would instinctly make sure that my feet were lying on the couch, not touching the floor...... Don't ask me why : T
Screen Gems only #10? All their logos scared the bejesus out of me when I was a kid, especially the sticks and dots of '63 to '65 The music freaked me out and so did the announcer(William Dozier, the narrator of "Batman").The "S from Hell" never was to comforting, either!
I actually thought the UA logo was cool. Does anyone have the TimeLife Productions TV logo from the Sixties? That scared the snot out of me when I was little! XD
the 2nd scary one was creppiest one to me because of music sounding like someone screaming in the beginning and then the face thing i mean wat the crap!!
I Think that Both Paramount logos are pretty creepy. The "Closet Killer" logo was scary because of the music. And the "Feature Presentation" logo was scary for 2 reasons. The music kind of sounds like it's sad music, which probably means that they feel bad that they're going to kill the person who's watching, or something. And the 2nd reason is when the "Feature Presentation" text comes flying towards you, and into the FBI warning. That would be Extra Extra Scary if it was 3D
The UA started creepy and ended grandiose, the Paramount "Closet Killer" had really scary music, and the VID TV was eerie through and through. Those are your top three. The others, not "scary" at all.
When I was younger that damn Vin Di Bona logo used to get stuck in my head even the music it would give me night mare one night. I rather look at the Viacom V of Steel rather than that Vin Di Bona logo.
My opinion on your list: 10 not that bad 9 not scary 8. creepy 7. not scary 6. scary 5 not scary 4 very scary 3 not scary 2. horrifying should be #1 1. little scary
the most scariest logo i thought was scary was v of doom bnd make me pee and shit at the same time bbc is scary somehow 2 me and and the paramount closet killer is scary
the last one was not scary at all. the first two weren't that scary, but they got progressively scarier (obviously) but in all honesty, the earlier DiC logos were scarier than the newer ones.
I just posted something on another video about how I would leave the room so I wouldn't have to watch that creepy, spinning HBO logo. I didn't like the MPAA rating, at the beginning of pay-TV movies, either - especially the announcer's voice saying, "This film has been rated "PG" by the Motion Picture Association of America..."
The only creepy one is the second to last one. Other than that, I fail to see how ANY of these are scary or creepy. I guess maybe if I was easily scared by letters or numbers, then maybe I would find these scary.
Must be the music that "scares" people? I have nothing but fond memories of these logos! Meant a great movie or show was coming on. If these are scary, see a therapist, really. Or get out more...
I think people were afraid if the Paramount clip because it was shown before Pet Semetary I think. Plus, the way the music plays and then suddenly stops. I can relate to this.
COMMENT: 10: C'mon, what the heck are you thinking? 9: THAT'S NOT SCARY! IT'S JUST MICKEY! 8: BBC is fine. What's it doing up there? 7: DEEK. Nope. 6: It may be eerie, but no. 5: Viacom? Seriously? 4: Can freak me out if unexpected. 3: Never heard of it. 2: OK, this is a bit scary. Watch the Viacom VID of Doom and it will kill you. 1: WHAT?! That is so not scary!
#2 should be #1
