Let's set the record straight, 60's to 90's Universal/MCA TV, Screen Gems (both S from Hell & Killer Sticks), 60's-70's Twentieth Century-Fox Television are WAY SCARIER than that "weirdo" Russian logo.

Also you have left out the Filmways "evil globe", the MGM TV "hungry lion" & the Columbia TV Productions "demonic pretzel".

I agree. This is very scary as a child, and is still a bit creepy while older. There's something about it. The loud noise... scary logo.... then BLACK. And either you have to get up in the dark to eject the tape, or hide under your covers until daylight...

yeah, see, i dont think some people get it. maybe it was just around my generation (22yo), but as kids we had these vhs tapes,and you would turn the lights off to watch it cuz tv was still pretty crap "back then", and these logos would appear,loud and random,and if you think about it,or remember, you had NO friggin idea what was going on. you didnt know what a "logo" was. just this thing that would kind of "glare" at you after your nice movie was over. and then the tv snow would come... *shiver*

It's not the logo itself that is scary; it is usually the rather sudden movements that coincide with the rather peculiar-at-times music, that make these logos creepy at times. I'll admit, the Paramount Home Video Feature Presentation one got me all the time when I was a kid: if I was sitting on the couch, I would instinctly make sure that my feet were lying on the couch, not touching the floor...... I Think that Both Paramount logos are pretty creepy. The "Closet Killer" logo was scary because of the music. And the "Feature Presentation" logo was scary for 2 reasons. The music kind of sounds like it's sad music, which probably means that they feel bad that they're going to kill the person who's watching, or something. And the 2nd reason is when the "Feature Presentation" text comes flying towards you, and into the FBI warning. That would be Extra Extra Scary if it was 3D

I just posted something on another video about how I would leave the room so I wouldn't have to watch that creepy, spinning HBO logo. I didn't like the MPAA rating, at the beginning of pay-TV movies, either - especially the announcer's voice saying, "This film has been rated "PG" by the Motion Picture Association of America..."
