  • I'm ten and I think ur my new hero

  • It's looks good but I never heard of "unsweetened" dried pineapple

  • Trail mix looks great especially with the goji berries wich are my favorite" :)

  • 3:40 thank you...that's exactly why i looked up a trail mix recipe :p

  • nothing worst than ill-informed non-raw -people trying to make "healthy suggestions" on raw foodist videos.

I love the trail mix! :)

  • You might say that nuts/seeds are fattening but when youre a raw vegan the one thing you NEED to make sure you do i eat enough fat... i learned that the hard way

  • Nuts are also very fattening

  • @tinghaling That's quite an ignorant blank statement. You need essential fats which nuts provide.

  • What a great mixing bowl with the wooden hands...nice recipe too!

  • This would be more informative if you said what the nutritional info is on each of the ingredients. Some fatty who is trying to eat healthy will fill a 2 qt bag for a snack.

  • look not health~so fat!

  • almonds low fat?? so 95 gram (one cup) of almond gives around 546, where as Calories from Fat are 423.

Nuts are a great way to get healthy fat, and your trailmix do contain a lot of great nutrients. But it is important to inform that this is not a great choice if your serving sice is a handfull. you really would get above the needed kcal count needed to keep your weight. To prepare, and take with you meals when you are on the road is great. But it is not optimal to eat trail mix all day.

  • Oh my God, I hate this intro music so much :P But the info is sorta good. I'm into raw so.

  • Goji berries also grow wild in the Arizona desert.

  • thats good info cuz that means we should be able to find them cheaper since they dont have to be imported right?

  • I'm a fan!

  • to be hungry is good....

  • I like to include goji berries in my trail mix.

  • Yum

  • why does everything she says have an upwards inflection at the end

  • yep

  • lol shes like martha stewart

  • The wooden pot and claws are adorable... omg.

Too cute! I would just use my hands of course. Adds more love! Great food travel tip.

  • Saw Jenna live at the 2007 Vibrant Living Expo in Fort Bragg where we screened her documentary. She's beautiful in person, w/ a fantastic figure. The trail mix looks great, but since when are almonds "lowfat"? And no indication whether the nuts have been soaked, which is important.Raw cacao contains concentrated caffeine and is very stimulating, as addicting as coffee (which raw foodists avoid). There is a lot of controversy on the internet about the benefits and hazards of raw cacao.

  • Thank you for your kind words : ) Almonds are lowfat, as far as nuts go. It's certainly better to soak them, but they won't last long in a trail mix once they're soaked, unless you dehydrate them afterward.

  • That's true, but non soaked/sprouted nuts & seeds are much more difficult to digest. I think it's best to present this trail mix in its optimal form, esp for raw newbies.

  • good, thanks but I find raisins too sweet, also try the natural or organic type since you do not want pestice/ chemicals. roasted nuts are better also for easy digestion.

  • nuts a seeds....

    wow

  • Video PROTEIN MYTH, by raw vegan athlete, tim van orden

  • I've heard that nuts are not good for weight loss purpose because it has too much fat, is that true?

  • Not true. Nuts contain healthy fats. What you want to avoid to lose weight is refined carbohydrates such as white sugar, white rice, white bread, and high-fructose corn syrup (can be identified as "glucose-fructose" on packaging labels).

  • I liked it, but doesn't it look like squirrel food?

  • Try it. It's delicious : )

  • That's the beauty of raw food. It can be so simple!

    Jenna

  • Looks great. Thank you.

  • Great recipe thanks!
