You might say that nuts/seeds are fattening but when youre a raw vegan the one thing you NEED to make sure you do i eat enough fat... i learned that the hard way
This would be more informative if you said what the nutritional info is on each of the ingredients. Some fatty who is trying to eat healthy will fill a 2 qt bag for a snack.
almonds low fat?? so 95 gram (one cup) of almond gives around 546, where as Calories from Fat are 423.
Nuts are a great way to get healthy fat, and your trailmix do contain a lot of great nutrients. But it is important to inform that this is not a great choice if your serving sice is a handfull. you really would get above the needed kcal count needed to keep your weight. To prepare, and take with you meals when you are on the road is great. But it is not optimal to eat trail mix all day.
Saw Jenna live at the 2007 Vibrant Living Expo in Fort Bragg where we screened her documentary. She's beautiful in person, w/ a fantastic figure. The trail mix looks great, but since when are almonds "lowfat"? And no indication whether the nuts have been soaked, which is important.Raw cacao contains concentrated caffeine and is very stimulating, as addicting as coffee (which raw foodists avoid). There is a lot of controversy on the internet about the benefits and hazards of raw cacao.
Thank you for your kind words : ) Almonds are lowfat, as far as nuts go. It's certainly better to soak them, but they won't last long in a trail mix once they're soaked, unless you dehydrate them afterward.
That's true, but non soaked/sprouted nuts & seeds are much more difficult to digest. I think it's best to present this trail mix in its optimal form, esp for raw newbies.
good, thanks but I find raisins too sweet, also try the natural or organic type since you do not want pestice/ chemicals. roasted nuts are better also for easy digestion.
Not true. Nuts contain healthy fats. What you want to avoid to lose weight is refined carbohydrates such as white sugar, white rice, white bread, and high-fructose corn syrup (can be identified as "glucose-fructose" on packaging labels).

Nuts are also very fattening

@tinghaling That's quite an ignorant blank statement. You need essential fats which nuts provide.
