I dont think we should strive for enlightenment. I think we should simply do our practices and meditation and maintain as much awareness about our inner and outter worlds as we can. That way we get better and not stuck nor delussionail. Oh and we need physical exercise. That's it.
@jignaeri no, never heard of him. I just think people turn to some out there mystical state of mind that's going to come and make everything better. If people want better for them selves they would treat themselves better. An hour of set aside time for excercice daily, being with those they care about, proper nutrition, regular perticipate in a creative outlet. And good sleep hygein. Also twice daily meditation helps. Nothing mystical, no obsessing on better and worse spiritual conditions
@creationofself If you strive for it, you'll miss it. You only strive for something that is somewhere else or somewhen else. You don't strive for something if its immediacy precedes even your own body.
We all know the words frustration and exhaustion but maybe we do not know that all meditations, satsangs, trainings and groups are not designed to make us happier. No. This is a technique to exhaust the western mind completely. Only, if we are exhausted and frustrated with our effort to become enlightened or realised or something else we are ready to listen to ourselves, if we know it or not. Each master's, guru's, therapist's ... function is to make us tired of seeking. Love, plasticeso-team
ummm ur an absolute ignoramous the point of therapist and guru's is to help people realize what we are truly seeking which is humanity and empathy in the true sense...your putting your own words and ideas into what these people have been doin for centuries...maybe u need some enlightenment yourself
so then why do so many teachers appeal to these people who are willing to put themselves through so much torment and seeking? Most people, and so many lazy people would just give up and turn away on the whole thing very quickly and just say "screw it". And nothing happens at all. Why not appeal to the lazy in the first place if seeking is so unnecessary?
Oh yeah! nice!
