I absolutely am in love with this video! My Gracie is a 10-month old border collie pointer mix. I sure hope I can teach her all these wonderful things! Thanks so much for this. :)
this idea is great and I remember reading about using a clicker, but I'm wondering if they do something wrong, how do they know no to do it again without some kind of punishment? and by punishment I just mean like a scolding or something like that.
@icedevil0289 Depending on the behavior and dog, you can do one of two things. Ignore the behavior or redirect it. For something like jumping where the dog is trying to get your attention, you could ignore it and then praise the dog when they settle down so they know they only get the attention when they chill out. For something like chewing on furniture, you can redirect them by giving them a toy. This is just a really brief explanation, so feel free to look further in to clicker training. :)
So wonderful! I had you on Facebook I have no idea why I wasn't subscribed! I usually recommend others videos and I'll put you on my list. It's always awesome to spread the message of clicker and positive reinforcement training! keep up the good work!
Awwww I love this video! It really brought tears to my eyes! I just love the bond you both have! Chase is a GREAT DOG! Bandit, Isabelle & Twix want to play with him! :)
Fantastic and creative way about spreading the word Katrina! Chase is such a smart boy, I know I've said it before but I'll say it again, you've done an amazing job with him! You two make a great pair! :) How's Oscar doing?
Excellent video demonstrating the power of Positive dog training! Chase is such a clever boy; I especially enjoyed his flyball, skateboarding, and the leg-stall tricks. :)
Really love this! Great job on spreading the word of Positive Reinforcement and Clicker Training! Chase is doing great at agility and flyball! His tricks are just fantastic! I'm amazed every time I watch them! =)
I got it three years ago when I was having problems with Oscar running away. I never used it I thought it was cruel. so I did some research and learned about clicker training and Positive reinforcement. I happen to find it when I was cleaning my room and I decided to make this video! To spread the word of Positive Reinforcement and Clicker training ! Just to let you know I did throw the choker chain away after the making of this video!
Wow! Beautiful collie!

Why must border collies push their bowls around before eating/drinking out of it? My BC (Nikki) does that too and it drives me crazy
