Thumbs up if you knew Clair de Lune before Twilight and just came here to badmouth Twilight!!! Twilight was one of the worst movies ever. Worse than abominations like Cloverfield and so on. And yeah no credits to Debussy in Twilight. Shameful. Downright disgusting. But then again so was the movie.

who played this? I'm not saying its bad becuase it must take impressive skill to play this piece alone but its quite heavy playing which is not always a good thing, it's like you're attacking the piano when it's supposed to be a soft piece.

I think this is too "rigidly" played - where goes the smoothness. Debussy was obviously looking at the moon, not on it and looking at the rocks. And the bass sounds so electronic. Despite of these, this is still a good rendition. Personally, I prefer RIchter's interpretation.

I love this piece. My favorite classical. Although I DO have to give props to Twilight for actually getting me into classical pieces. When I first heard this song because of Twilight, I loved it and it provoked my interest in the classical. I thus give Twilight props, ha. And I listened to the other pieces by Debussy and I hold him in high regard.

@patsbassoon I don't know, I always thought that the author's mentioning of Debussy's Clair de Lune was a cheap attempt at making herself and her characters seem cultured, much like the use of Libiamo Ne'lieti Calici in the Soundtrack, and a piece by Wagner, I believe, in New Moon.

I'd have no problem with this piece being on Twilight, I'm all for getting the classics known, but to have it slip into the obscurity of "that Twilight song" is nothing short of tragic in my mind.

Ever seen the darjeeling limited? They use it in a very deep, introspective nighttime seen. Does it a little bit of justice.
