the mayfest party on euclid used to be a major tradition at syracuse, until the 90's when riots broke out all over campus during the party.

Hmm yeah I didn't participate in the on-campus fesitivities. I, like many others, used my day off to work. It was almost finals week, and I had a mountain of papers. Sorry I could be culturally enriched, but believe me, it wasn't due to drunken partying

not only did this terrible newscast put a spin on mayfest, completely leaving out the fact that "Mayfest is Optional" and you don't have to participate.
it's more for highschoolers to come and ooh and ahh at a college of interest. not to mention they didn't even cover the good parties on the 500 block.
come on channel 3. you could've done much better.
