Gorgeous microbus. Nice paint, and lots of good photos along the way. Soundtrack sounds like a RATM wannabee band, it's OK though. Overall a very nice video to watch!
Nice job on the paint prep, the paint, and body work. One thing: all of that money put
into a 'correct' restoration, and it's equipped with the wrong front and rear bumper blades. Correct blades for '66-'67 are pointed-end. Owner has '60-'65 "slash" ended
Watch the video response. It's the same bus. I didn't complete the restoration as the owner wanted to finish it himself. It does have the emblem now...
yeah i shure miss my 1961 vw van it had no gass gauge it took 10$ to fill the tank and it took a week to run all the gass out i bought it for 250$ blew the motor up and sold it for 750 w/blown up motor way back in 1984 and now i'd love to have it back again .
SOOoooo nice to see properly restored and mostly proud work, -But the polishing out, Thats like the beer or bq at the end of a day of hard labor! Yea you can be one of my friends lol Any other projects?
youre right they should have used music aproprate to the time period of the van and one correction that is not music but it certanly sounds like a jackass , vintage cars and vans are still verry cool, check out american graffitti (Movie)
Awesome work! I just put up a vid of rebuilt engine going in my '74 Westy - then it climbs a 20%+ gravel road not far from you, up near the Poinsett Res. It's still running great, with a Chevy Rochester 2 barrel carb and elec ignition, but I need to do some interior work. I live in NC now.
Im in Cross,SC. 15 Miles from Moncks Corner,SC. If you've heard a while back, when we had all those bad storms come through. It tore up a trailor park, and a place called branchville. Well I live about 16 miles from that trailor park that got torn up called "Strawberry Mobile Home Park". And I've never been more desperate to get a bus than ever before. I don't really care what year, just 1950-1970. I was really wanting to get a split window bus, but right now, I can take what I can get.
I am one of the few kids who thinks classics are still and you did a magnificent job on this. But the music raped my ears.

sweet bus,is that dove blue? same colour as mine, cant wait for mine to be ready, check my vid. love your wheels too, originals look so good.
jaysidelnik 3 years ago
Nice job!
This is a bus I recently restored for someone else. The blue is Azure Blue, a '52 Beetle color. It's very close to Dove Blue.
Check my profile for other buses I've restored, and videos of my '66 21 Window.
