Esto hace que las proteínas adaptador para conectar a la cara citosólica del receptor. Esto conduce a una cascada de señales que implica la contratación de varias otras proteínas y en última instancia resulta en la muerte de la célula.
I take that this video presents the Mitochondrial Apoptotic Pathway, instead of the Death Receptor Pathway. But, the one above doesn't quite makes sense... In the mitochondrial apoptotic pathway, it starts out as Bax signals binding to mitochondria then releasing cytochrome C and then dimerizes with Apaf-1 and caspase 9 to form the "wheel of death", or apoptosome. Then apoptosome activates caspase 3. The latter mechanism works by the receptor ---> FADD ---> DISC ---> caspase 8 ----> caspase 3.
@daft3ndir3kt This shit is real. It is just a simple chemical chain reaction that kills a cell to prevent it from growing, functioning or reproducing. This actually happens a lot in your during your youth and teen years when your brain undergoes a neural pruning process. Far fetched? The idea that billions of cells carrying an electro-chemical charge creates a self aware consciousness... now THAT is REALLY far fetched.
MHC I-mediated apoptosis would involve the release of granules from the CTL. The mechanism in this video appears to be mediated by Fas receptors (or "death" receptors, as they're called in the video) on the diseased cell binding to FasL (death ligand) on the CTL, triggering the caspase cascade.
This how they control people and the world- (but they are not going to tell you that) - It's a secret agenda - I think they do this in this building "Western State Property Management" (Why I'm telling you that-bec I can't fight this MAFIA) to keep everybody behaving like nice quit "ZOMBIES" that walking and hypnotize like a puppies! Tampering with human-DNA !
To me this give me a headache and ringing in my ears- If this wt t'-wnt to achieve THEN T'-GOT IT!!!!!Under ground secret movements!!!!
@DNAutics-I have random molecules of gasoline all sloshing around in my gas tank. Which ever one hits the fuel line 1st is totally random. They're not standing single-file ready to march up the line & jump into the spark. That does not negate the fact that gasoline was refined in a way that's impossible without technologically designed equipment. Gas is designed and engineered for a specific purpose. Design is evident by the existence of stages that would eliminate the sequence if not present
@75johnnyu Why not actually look up the accidental nature of most of your intelligent design analogy? "Gas was engineered and designed for a specific purpose" Arabian light conatins tons of the stuff (octane) when it comes out of the ground. Terrible analogy.
@jumbomingus Are you serious? Before you replied did you even think about looking at the crude refining process? Can we toss crude into the gas tank? Awesome. You first. I'll go ahead and use the "gas that was engineered and designed for a specific purpose" and thank their engineers/designers for the incredible efficiency in which they designed by separating crude into gasoline, natural gas, and several other fuel sorces. ??? lol. You can lead a horse to water...
A frightening, post-apocalyptic view of apoptosis.... but really good. Thank you for including the entire cascade of signaling events. They finally make sense!

All the godfags in here are best be trolling, because your so called god doesn't have anything to do with this. Pure evolution my friends.
Just think about it, why would god make such a complicated system, if he could just use some of his magic, like the way "he created us".
Lrn2Biology
And please, don't come up with "the evolution theory is just a theory". The amount of time that has past since the first forming of RNA (3,5 billion years) is sufficient for life to evolve.
Understand that The Bible is not a Biology text. Also understand that God is supposed to be a little more intelligent than you are, you who would only have given us aerobic respiration, you mean small-minded person you. (ergo, the 'complicated system' that allows us to adapt) Complicated compared to what, exactly? Are you just quoting Dawkins willy-nilly? Why do you think a religious text would care more about collared cells that morality and history?
@RijnFlow don´t you understand that this complicated system is the magic our God uses? Everything is thought of. And who are you to decide if 3,5 billion years is a sufficient time for life to have evolved, and I wonder how you are so sure of that number..
@ljunggrenerik oh get out of here with your god talk. Seriously, this is a scientific video, no need for zeus, krishna or yahweh here. If you wanna discuss your preferred deity then go do so on some religious video.
@simsi1616; "scientific" points toward knowledge. You confuse science with evolution and/or faith. This video is "scientific", how you assume it's origin is a matter of faith. Some believe that the order and design that's evident come from a designer. That is faith. Some believe that the order comes from chaos and random accidents that began 3.5 billion years ago in a bowl of volcanic soup. That's also faith. The complexity of the cell far exceeds the blob of protoplasm that Darwin assumed.
@gurbie68 I think his point was that it wasn't his decision OR your decision on how things were created. If you can look at this scientific video and land on the answer, "Hmph! I bet that evolved by accident." then you are as free to do so and discuss your faith as ljunggrenerik is when he looks at the scientific video and reaches the conclusion that there is order and design evident that requires a designer. Neither type of faith requires you to "check your brain at the door".
If it wasnt for Cytotoxic T cells causing apoptosis, we would not live very long. One cell that became cancerous would spread to our whole bodies very fast, also These T cells help kill viral infected cells before they can release new viruses.
@jesuistahmid From what I understand, the CTLs (Cytotoxic T Lymphocytes) are always patrolling the body. Every cell type with a nucleus so everything except red blood cells, has the MHC I receptor that CTLs recognize. As the T cells move along a layer of cells they will recognize either a viral protein expressed indicating a viral infection , or another protein that is expressed when cell is damaged. This causes the CTL to then form a complex between it and the target cell for apoptosis.
thanks for the explanation, very helpful :) !.. but do all cells have so called "death receptor" on the plasma membrane ?( as they call it in the video).. Are they constantly there even through its a healthy cell?.. :P .. ? .. can the "death receptors" be receptor of which the T-cell communicates with to find out if its a healthy cell or not,?.. or .. :) ?
@Roughen1991 This video shows what happens during death receptor-mediated apoptosis. There are several different types of death receptors such as Fas and TNFR-1 and this type of programmed cell death occurs mainly with immune-system cells. This is different from the 'normal' apoptotic method because there is no MHC 1 antigen presentation nor does the CTL release cytotoxic granules to initiate death.

Yes! One of the rare biology videos that show biomolecules as being chemically reactive to their environment rather than being living things that know exactly where to go. Very realistic!
@happyking9 yeah basically, it can do it to cells that are genetically damaged and stuff aswell. The killer t cell activates whats called the Extrinsic pathway of apoptosis (which goes up until like 2:40 in the video) and when the cytochrome-c is released from the mitochondria it is called the Intrinsic pathway of apoptosis (rest of the video from when mitochondria are first mentiond). Its a much nicer process than necrosis aswell. Mean animation i got to say
@happyking9, pretty much. The killer T cell sets of an irreversible process within the diseased cell that leads to a neat tidy death (see how it forms those easily-recycled blobs) rather than one that could damage surrounding tissues - also preventing the diseased cell from passing on the disease, whether it be a virus or if it's just cancerous.
Viruses are assembled inside a host cell through self-assembly and stuff, i get that much. But doesn't destroying a diseased cell release the virus inside?
@happyking9, not exactly. Instead of falling apart and releasing its contents everywhere it forms blebs (those balls at the end) which are then gobbled up by nearby immune cells (like macrophages or dendritic cells) that were attracted to the area by chemicals released by the killer T cell. These cells specialise in destroying microbes.
I can't believe some people think this is sad. This has been happening for millions of years and every single day. It's the reason we are strong and healthy. It's a really interesting process, which my smallish, undeveloped brain is unable to understand. Phooey.

@Kill3rTcell
Viruses are assembled inside a host cell through self-assembly and stuff, i get that much. But doesn't destroying a diseased cell release the virus inside?
happyking9 1 year ago
@happyking9, not exactly. Instead of falling apart and releasing its contents everywhere it forms blebs (those balls at the end) which are then gobbled up by nearby immune cells (like macrophages or dendritic cells) that were attracted to the area by chemicals released by the killer T cell. These cells specialise in destroying microbes.

For some reason I can't help but think of the demon/spirits from the movie Ghost when I see Caspase activation. Amazing animation.

I can't believe some people think this is sad. This has been happening for millions of years and every single day. It's the reason we are strong and healthy. It's a really interesting process, which my smallish, undeveloped brain is unable to understand. Phooey.

Thanks for sharing!
