Great video for anyone who searved aboard an Adams Class DDG. Funny how almost 30 years later you know exactly where each scene is shot, and at what angle.

Hey I was onboard the Cochrane and remember leaving 1/3 of the crew on the beach while we got underway. That was sure a rough storm.I remember Captain Mc Carthy got on the 1MC and told us we were a great group to have worked with I don't think he thought we were going to make it. I did ask him three days later if we qualified for subpay? I remember all the green water going over the bridge. On board the Cochrane was truely some good times back then. QM3 Robb Chaffin
Nice to see a video of my old ship online. She was scrapped in Houston a few years ago, and her sister ship sank while both were being towed back to the states from Yokosuka.
Are u sure the USS Towers sunk. I was still in Japan after we Decomissioned these two ships (STG2 Brian "FLASH" Gordon - USS Cochrane) and the first day these two ships were being towed to Hawaii, the tug ran out of fuel or broke down. The Cochrane and Towers smashed into each other but were able to be towed back to Yokosuka where the spent months back in drydock. I left the Navy at the end of '91 and didn't hear what happened to these two ships after being repaired.
Love this video! Its just like the Adams!!

Nice video of my sister ship. I was on the TOWERS. What happened to DDG21? Towers became a reef off SoCal in October 2002 during a SINKEX.

@ChiefSparky2001 Cochrane was towed back to Texas, and stripped down/scrapped. I believe she is now a power barge somewhere.

0:46 That looks almost IDENTICAL to the ferry in Command & Conquer Generals.

It was Hong Kong. We had to bug out early so Typhoon Nina wouldn't hit us in port.
