It isnt, in gabbasoft (the program he used) the timer dosent start unless you scramble it, then start to solve it. And as you can see )obviously) the timer is going up, and so is the move count.

the only reason why it didnt blow up is because on the supercubes, a lot of the centres can be switched around and it would still appear solved. but gabbasoft only makes the cube explode if it is exactly the way it was before with all the centres in the same place. there are lots of solved positions for supercubes but gabbasoft only accepts the one that it was in before you clicked on scramble
