Thanks for the video! I've eaten these things a few times but I never knew what type of insect they were... silk worms... hmmm... Anyhow, I don't remember them being starchy but maybe it's the cooking method since most restuarants and homes in china stir fry them. I remember them tasting like chicken with the texture of shrimp... weird.

You may not remember, I told you about saliditos, or crackseed, the dried salted plums, it's like those but in a liquid,not something you want to eat everyday, but, they are GOOD (to me lol). Asian stores definitely have unusual types of food, and alot of it is very good!
