  • Nah, maybe I wouldn't wanna try them..... I don't like the thought of eating bugs, and it just creeps me! You halfly inspired me becuase if I'm ever cought in a dare to eat any bugs, I'll know who to call!

  • @FoodOddities Although if it's an instant contest...... maybe not! Although I'l try to not not not not not not not not not not not not not not watch a bug video!

  • they are very common in Korea.

  • @jnam5 do a lot of people like them in korea?

  • @FoodOddities Yes they do. I'm korean, myself and in my family eats them. :L But they don't eat them straight out of the tin, they have them warmed up.

  • @jnam5 o that sounds better!!

  • Thanks for the video! I've eaten these things a few times but I never knew what type of insect they were... silk worms... hmmm... Anyhow, I don't remember them being starchy but maybe it's the cooking method since most restuarants and homes in china stir fry them. I remember them tasting like chicken with the texture of shrimp... weird.

  • @ashi8848 o that sounds much better mine were soaked in liquid but if they were fried i bet it would be much better

  • @FoodOddities Soaked in liquid!? O_o.... that sounds a bit disturbing.

  • @ashi8848 yeah it was like they were in a bug broth. really sick acutaly!!

  • @FoodOddities *gags* I'd eat bugs dry... but not in a broth, that just sounds wrong in so many ways. :/

  • @ashi8848 i agree!

  • @FoodOddities I mean... mushy... bugs.... that.... *shudders* It's like eating a bug alive or something!

  • @ashi8848 and that is some thing i have still never done! well unless i ate a bug while i was asleep:D

  • @FoodOddities ... *shudders* I don't wanna think about that happening.

  • @ashi8848 lol!!

  • @FoodOddities Did you know that you actually swallow eight spiders on average every year? They say it's an urban myth but...

  • @ashi8848 o man! if that is true then i have had enough bugs already!!

  • @FoodOddities lmao XD Ikr? It kinda feels like your safe spot is violated though doesn't it? :/

  • @ashi8848 big time maybe i will sleep with a mask on:)

  • @FoodOddities Lol... hmmm... you'd need something really breathable though...

  • @ashi8848 like a doctor mask i think

  • @FoodOddities Are those easy to breathe in? I've never worn one.

  • @ashi8848 i guess i dont know!!

  • @FoodOddities It's cool I'm glad I tried them though, I couldn't believe we found them,it was in a really tiny shop, they had all sorts of stuff in there,we got happy plum candy and umeboshi a salted pickled plum in liquid

  • You may not remember, I told you about saliditos, or crackseed, the dried salted plums, it's like those but in a liquid, not something you want to eat everyday, but, they are GOOD (to me lol). Asian stores definitely have unusual types of food, and alot of it is very good!
