I wonder how folks down there would react if they see a black 1961 plymouth fury cruise down US1? There are not very many 1961 plymouths left today thats thanks to Mr Rust.
You will see that car in the Minor Hill Christmas parade for 2011. The video is here on youtube
Thank you I know that area and I sure do miss living in Palm Bay, Fl . My family moved to Minor Hill, Tn and I did not want to leave . I was living there in 1993 and moved from there is 2005
It sure doesn't look like this now, lol. I have a vid driving down Minton and Palm Bay road in '87 when it was still 2 lanes and no plazas. Should convert it sometime. :)
@NESCartFan That would be cool to see... My family didn't venture in that vicinity often... I'm wondering if someone would have taped the old Eau Gallie Causeway from about the same time (My grandparents lived in Indialantic and I remember like it was yesterday taking the route from Palm Bay to their house across the causeways)... Actually, anything from back then would bring back great memories... :)
@NESCartFan Minton Road is now a 4 lane highway. It has plazas now. I now live in Minor Hill, TN but I sure do miss Palm Bay, FL . I lived there for 25 years and did not want to leave. I hope someday my family decides to move back there . I am all for it.
@NESCartFan I remember it too. I used to work at the 711 at the corner of Minton and Malabar. I also worked at Minton and Palm Bay,the hollywood store , university, , Daisy , Pinewood, ,suntree and 1 of the vero beach stores, I would help out at these stores when they were shorthanded.
That mcdonalds is STILL there too lol. the music, that time of the year and seeing the peaceful-ness makes me want to move back home :( i moved to south florida when i was 7 and it cld nvr compare to palm bay. 15 yr old proud country girl lol (: (although i visit every month for my family)
@omfgitsnia There is also a Mcdonalds at the corner of Minton and Malabar rd that 1 was walking distance from me. I would have my chicken mcnuggests french fries a chocolate shake then I would go for 1 of my long walks
