  • Go to the official government site of Hud-gov or HudHomeStore-com

    Shop around for an agent. Most buyer's agents will do it for 3 percent or a flat fee, say $5000. That's five grand saved in your pocket. From their perspective, it is better to make 5 or 6 thousand than none at all. A point you might remind potential agents.
