  • I love how there is like, 92 Youtube videos about this....

I'm Korean and the first time I ate live octopus was when I was 6.

  • @Julianna416 I know right? I didnt know there were so many when I made the video. Wow when you were 6 huh? thats pretty brave for a 6 year old!

  • EWWWWHHHHH !

  • น่ากินมากมาย

There must be a Korean seafood restaurant near you somewhere that may serve this?

Honestly though, I havent seen it here in Washington and we are all about our seafood...

maybe its time for a visit to Korea! :)

  • looks fresh

  • @jjws any fresher and you are fighting an alive one! hehe

  • man if you lived in washington ... id totally eat that with you!

    have you had it before?

  • dont thay stick to your throut

  • I meant to reply but I removed someones comments

    sorry :(

  • it's not bad ... well I don't know my brother says that it tastes good but it's slimy xD

  • it is pretty tasty

it doesnt taste like seafood at all

if you ever had calamari at a bar its kind of like that

    but not fried

    and still moving xD

  • I want some!! I live in NY

  • How is it moving if its cut and dead??? i dont get it...

  • Perhaps you already know this, but, the animal is, in fact, dead, the moving tentacles remnants of nerve endings that have yet to die. The octopus is killed very quickly, and probably suffers as much or less than a lobster being thrown into a vat of boiling water

  • lol I remember playing with them when i was a kid... evil child i was...

I only tried the tentacles. I cannot eat the head. Don't wanna feel its guts in my mouth D:

  • i only ate the tentacles as well although i wanted to eat the little ones that you eat whole for the FULL experience.. ^__^

maybe next time i go back

    thanks for the comment ;)

  • When I was like eleven I went to Korea and my mom was eating it... I ordered the ramen

  • looks delicious, I've been wanting to try this. It's my first thing on my to-do list when I go visit fam in Korea.

  • :)

it really does taste MUCH better than it looks

    No fishy taste at all!

if you like sushi/sashimi or seafood im sure you will enjoy it

when do you plan on visiting Korea?

I want to go back as soon as i can

  • I'd eat it. The only thing is that while moving it looks like worms or bugs. I have ate octopus tentacles that werent moving! LOL

  • Yeah... it doesnt look like the most appetizing thing in the world haha

Octopus tentacles huh? it was good right? ^__^

  • if you like it then why avoid it? hehehehehe eatttt ittttttttttt!!!!!!!

  • hahaha congrats on beating the suction cups!

you have to chew um good or the suction cups can stick to your throat and you can choke to death! GASP!

so I take it you didnt like it very much? hehe I thought it tasted ok

we will have to get some together! so you dont have to avoid it xD

  • I am Korean American, and it's a shame that I haven't been to Korea. I should go visit Korea and get myself some REAL Korean Food.

    BOO YA!! I'm hungry now.

Remember, you have to CHEW the alive octopus first. Swallowing it alive is very dangerous.

  • @SeekingRapture You really should go visit! I moved to the US when I was 6 and went back in this video when I was like 26... 20 years later!!!

But I had such a great time and so much yummy food! You really have to get out there to see where you are from! your culture your heritage! GO GO GO MOVE IT MOVE IT MOVE IT!

  • oh shit!! My relatives love them too, but I couldn't try them... (european mind I guess) specially cos I saw how they "prepeared" them...

my fu...ing cousin put one in his mouth and showed me how it was still moving xD

  • Yeah hahaha the sight of them are not the most appetizing... I think less goes into "preparing" them then say like beef or chicken... haha you know this stuff is fresh!

if you get the chance to you should try a lil bite at least... it does taste pretty good

  • dude my bro dared me to eat it!! it came crawling back up my throat!!my dadwas like wtf???

  • WOW!

you are brave for doing it on a dare ;) lots of people wont go near it hahaha

What did you think of the taste?

you know many ppl have died because they dont chew it right and they choke on it when it clings on the their throats! so you were lucky!

gotta chew the hell outta that ish!

    haaha

  • ohh lordy u are one brave soul

my mom ate a whole live one wid the head and everything aaaackk

  • hahaha not as brave as your mother but thanks! it took a lil bit of guts to do!

What I REALLY wanted to do waw eat the one with head and all the little kind.... but they didnt serve that here T_T

but i think im lucky they didnt have it because i might have been to scared to eat that one hahaha
