I got to see Natalie perform this live (somewhere around '78, same outfit!) and it was an amazing show!! Got to meet her after and she was so gracious. She remains an inspiration, taking the best from the best, her father, Aretha etc. and still giving everything her own unique stamp! There is no denying this woman's talent!! Thanks for posting this.

Unlike great talents to follow them, some of the older school (Natalie, Chaka, Etta James to name a few) could be zooted and turn it out. We may have had suspicions but they didn't make spectacles of themselves like those that came a little later. They also retained their vocal prowess--full vocal register and power.
