that is a very raw bass in the beginning, great sound. DId you say you made these? great job man. I have on myself, still working on how to craft new sounds. How did you make that bass?
@360Alucardius360 why the fuck would u want sum1 elses song on ur electribe??? get it as an mp3 for ur ipod, and make ur own songs on the emx or its a waste of an electribe
@BigBaggaBlues I wanted to download them because some of the sounds were pretty neat and I'd like fuck around with them. Doesn't make me any worse musician than you.
@360Alucardius360 at what point did i say you where u worse musician? i said its a waste of an electribe. if u can learn urself to use it and in time use it very well i think any other synth u come across in the future u should be able to pick up very quickly, and ull get more satisfaction when you make a tune and u synthesized it all
It depends, if you find yourself randomly feeling the urge to record some kick ass beat you just hummed or thought of, then this and much more is for you XD
yea my friends letting me borrow this and i have no idea how to make MY OWN patterns. i dont want to start from other people's work, i want to make my own stuff. i have a keyboard and the emx, is that all i need to make trance and ebm and yea all that great stuff? i need help hahaha
1st. Press Song button and select song S. 07 which should be empty. If that isn't selected turn the dial to select it.
2nd. Press Pattern button and turn the dial again to find "empty" patterns (None of the patterns are truly empty, they all have sounds assigned to buttons but they may not play so the pattern is very very simple.)
If you want to move through patterns faster press the shift button down and turn the dial.
There are some Init patterns at D.33-D.64. These are the "empty" ones.
thanks for your comments. it is easy to program a korg emx when you use it with a yamaha rs7000 ( best tool for midi exploitation ). I sold my emx and esx. I'm now a very happy owner of an emu xl-7 fully loaded! FoxTechno, I really like your new tunes and you've nailed the mix levels.......

Great pattern programming! The only drawback is an audio quality.

You really know how to produce nice stuff on the emx. Unlike most people on youtube.
mchouse5000 2 years ago 2
you should really redo this video with a line level dude.. Probably get more people interesting and potentially buy them..

markxl1 3 years ago
do you have to load up your own sounds?
shit mate explain how this thing works.
SpektralMusic 3 years ago
basically it has loads of sounds on there, then u take it from there, make a beat, bassline synth wateva. the possibilities are endless
ChrisJohnWalker 3 years ago
I was thinking about using one of these with a microkontrol. Is that a viable approach to getting the synth melody all worked out?
