  • clean the glass

  • @reptilerob57 I don't think you understood the video; the purpose of buying turbo snails was to clean the algae off the glass. I was looking for a natural algae cleaner to help clean my glass. But thanks for watching! Cheers,

  • how are snails in affrican cichlid tanks will the fish eat them like frontosa

  • @123FIREball200 I personally don't use snails in my freshwater tanks. Africans usually eat some algae anyway. With african tanks I use syno cats or plecos (with caution). You could also try siamese/chinese algae eaters although they start to not eat algae as they mature out. Snails breed like crazy in freshwater tanks like crazy and all their fecal matter pollutes the tanks. Clown loaches love to eat snails though

  • @demasoni521 would frontosa eat them because i have a small group in my 100 gall and i hear thats what they eat in the wild i accually just lost my green terrors and almost my jack because of an ammonia spike :(

  • @123FIREball200 aww that sucks man, ammonia spike. Well I don't have that much experience with frontosas, but if you read that they sometimes eat snails, then I would refrain from it. I would use fish as algae cleaners, not snails, because they overpopulate freshwater tanks. You could try mystery snails though, they don't breed easily.

  • @demasoni521 OK i was jw because my pet store was having a sale on apple snails i hear in your other vid that fish are very expensive for small cichlids have u ever checked out live-fish direct

  • @123FIREball200 yeah I've seen online dealers. Shipping costs alot, so unless you find a killer deal then its not really worth buying. Most people who buy from online suppliers are looking for fish that are not available at most petstores, coral, anemones, and other rare things like that.

  • @demasoni521 @ live fish direct the shipping is over night and its only 30$ no matter how many fish u get ive gotten many fish from them including my fave African cichlid pseudotropheus elongatus and demasioni
